“Stay on Ortigia”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2014

If you are a vacation traveler I see no need to stay in Siracusa proper... Ortigia is the place to be.

“Worth a short visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2014

This was our first place to visit in Sicilly and it was worth it, although some of the sites are not well kept. It is easy to walk around (and we found parking ommeadiately after crossing the bridge).
Nice view of the sea/ bay.

“I could never get sick of this place. ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2014 via mobile

Truly fantastic, one if the most beautiful places in Italy. Take a boat trip to visit the Grotte if possible,l and try to go with a blue sky. Not enough superlatives exist to describe this place.

“Atmospheric little streets and beautiful Duomo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2014

The Duomo piazza is a great place for a coffee and soak up the atmosphere - go down the side to see the Greek temple core. Mostly we wandered the narrow streets and enjoyed getting lost. It's so small that it's not long before you find somewhere you recognise. I have to say that the Temple of Athena was a bit underwhelming!

“Nice place to explore”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2014

A lovely old part of Syracuse. The cathedral square is lovely and it is nice to get lost in the little streets and alleys and see the old houses.
