We stayed here over Easter 2012 and loved it. The kitchen facilities are superb - we mostly walked to the market and cooked our own delicious Sicilian dishes. It's in a secure building up a short flight of stairs (there is also a lift) in a lovely quite part of Ortigia, we were thrilled to find what amounted to a home away from home.
Our lease Peugeot we parked in the carpark just inside the town border actually quite near the open market, and got the free bus to the central piazza (or just walked). In fact we didn't seem to need to pay for the parking - or were we just lucky?
Everything about the apartment suited us as the town is full of so many interesting stores, bars, trattorie and restaurants that are easily within walking distance or just a bus-ride away, yet the apartment was one or two street into a quite area.
We made a day-trip out in the car to a national park nearby, and a bird sanctuary, oh and Noto for a wonderful lunch. All within reach on a lazy afternoon. Re-parked the car and ambled 'home' picking up some olive oil and chocolates from Jean-Jacques at "Olive" on the way.
It was so nice we stayed another day!
Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Lilla, but her husband Massimo was attentive and informative. Thank you.

We rented this place over the internet. The owners were very helpful and went out of their way to get us a place for the days we requested. We didn't know what to expect but when we got to Syracuse we found a very well equipped and clean apartment in just the right location. We couldn't have been more pleased!
