Lovely little restaurant in the very heart of Siracusa. Highly recommended to book a table in the small and yet romantic patio.

I loved my shrimp and strawberry tartare - really delicious - as well as the gazpacho with burrata. We had several different appetisers and mains and drank Leone Tasca d'Almerita, a crisp white wine I highly recommend.

Nice place, good atmosphere and most of all, REALLY GOOD FOOD. Tartare are all amazing as well as the tuna main and the white chocolate dessert.

We paid E. 40 per person which might sound pricy but honestly, the quality and service are well worth it. It's not your typical Sicilian meal and yet, I consider it one of the highlights of my trip.

This cross French/ Sicilian is a success food wise. The opening moves smooth; chalk boards with daily offerings in 3 languages delivered by seasoned waiters who know their trade. The food is well presented with some very interesting spicing. You cannot go wrong with the food. On an island with copy cats this is an original. The assassin has me set up for the killing but stops short. The table for 2 is too small; a bit cafeteria. We ask for the various dishes ( we share 4 courses) to be served in sequence; the novice servers who follow the maestros messed it up. Now we have too many dishes on a table that is more like a cramped chessboard. We ordered wine by the glass and the amount poured was light; tacky. There were troubadours entertaining who busked the tables; once again tacky. The service was swift almost too quick; a matter of judgement. We walked out alive.

We enjoyed a pleasant evening meal here where the menu offered fresh local produce with fish a specialty. Food was simply prepared and well presented. We were especially impressed at the handling of a potential issue when my sister misunderstood and ordered a daily special of tuna carpaccio - another selection was quickly arranged and to our surprise no charge was made for our error.
We would certainly return here and recommend it to others.

Our favourite meal from 10 nights in Sicily, and that really is saying something! After some initial fun and games getting a table (we were told that all tables outside were reserved, then were taken to a table outside with no explanation after we'd stood umming and ahhing for a while on the merits of eating inside on a lovely evening), the food was exceptional. Superb goats cheese rolls to start, but the secondi were the real stars - delicious sliced duck in honey, and an amazing almond crusted tuna steak with couscous. So tasty!! The wine list was huge, so we asked for a recommendation and it turned out excellent - and reasonably priced too.

Weirdly, a large number of the outside tables remained free throughout the evening, yet we saw quite a few people told to sit inside because outside was "fully booked". Odd behaviour, but great food all the same!

We had two lovely meals here. A little bit of France in Siracusa! We ate in the courtyard and enjoyed beautifully prepared seafood, friendly service and reasonable prices. Meat eaters also have good choices and deserts were luscious.
