“Nice little find”
Reviewed November 11, 2013 via mobile

On a Monday night in the off season you don't expect to find much open in Syracuse, but this was a lovely surprise.
Down a small side alley off Roma this restaurant was warm & welcoming. Our waiter was very friendly & knew his wines.
We had a lovely bottle of wine, shared an incredible tuna pasta for entree, I had a fish main (very tasty & cooked to perfection) while my husband went for another pasta dish which he also enjoyed. We finished off with one of the days desserts & were not disappointed, a very nice experience. While the food wasn't to rave about it was cooked well & had some great tastes & varied flavours, very homely. It was ok value for money but not the best we've had in Sicily.

“Excellent for fish”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

Very friendly family-run restaurant just behind the Duoma in Syracuse. Takes a little finding but well worth the effort. Small in size so not suitable for large parties but the upside from this is that service is very good. Excellent fish (some meat choices also available) and a very good wine list. Not cheap - but excellent quality - you get what you pay for. We were three adults and two small children. Although the children were made to feel welcome, it is probably not such a good choice for under-12s. If I were to visit Syracue again, I would ceratinly return to this restaurant.

“Ok food ok service...”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

We had dinner in this restaurant where we sat outside.
The service was not great and not very professional but nice and friendly.
In terms of the food we had a tuna tartare which was a bit rough as a starter and then a mixed grill and tuna which for a restaurant of this category should have been a bit more refined than just a few pieces of meat in a plate.
Overall not bad but over rated in my opinion and price/quality was not there.

“A delightful restaurant close to the Duomo”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

If you want to try something a little more authentic away from the cafes in the Duomo square try this little place. Just down a narrow side street with a few outside tables. It was a hot evening so we chose to eat in the air conditioned dining room. The service was great and the food delicious . The sardines melted in the mouth the pasta with pistachio pesto was also very good.
