“A good Sicilain Trattoria”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

A pleasant Sunday evening meal for us, so not a day when it was very busy. We ate quite simply as we were suffering from Sicilian food overload by this stage of our trip! We found the food good but not overwhelming although we had been to the quite different experience of Don Camillo the previous night so perhaps the comparison was not fair.

“Is this a Michelin restaurant ?”
Reviewed November 23, 2012

Yes, according to a labels on the window. And yes, it was good, a sommelier who advices you on the whine. Very good antipasti. The saribnes with breadcrumps w/o bones was very good, the mixed grill meat not very special. It was worthwhile and we were glad we found this by incident.

“Wonderful experience, great food!”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

We took a fairly large group (10) here for dinner. The staff was welcoming and very informative. When 2 in our party ordered seabass baked in salt, the waiter explained that it was a very large portion and suggested they split it - an excellent suggestion - and my husband said it was the best fish he had ever tasted. They even brought the fish to the table after it was cooked for them to see, and then returned it to the kitchen to debone and split. We accepted the waiters suggestions for appetizers as well and it was an interesting tasting plate. Very classy place, but not pretentious.

“Great food, helpful staff, lovely atmosphere”
Reviewed June 4, 2012 via mobile

We were offered menus in both English & Italian which I appreciated because the Italian often has more detail. We shared a delicious seafood starter - the fish cakes in particular were beautiful. Our pasta mains were lovely. A nice, very reasonably priced bottle of wine was recommended & enjoyed. Dessert was accompanied by a complimentary digestif. The bill was incorrect - significant undercharge - but when I pointed out the mistake they wouldn't accept the higher amount. Best seafood antipasti of our fortnight in Sicily.
