“A welcome rest after a late arrival”
Reviewed November 3, 2013

We arrived at the B&B late from the Genoa ferry, and Raffaella was there to help us with parking and with settling in. The B&B is centrally located, the room is spacious and nicely decorated and it feels like home. Raffaella prepared us a lovely breakfast and gave us helpful suggestions for not only what to see in Palermo but what to see in Sicily in general. We would have liked to stay longer but our itinerary didn't allow it.

Room Tip: There are two rooms, one facing the street and one internal. We stayed in the external one and even...

An excellent cozy B&B with a lovely very welcoming and friendly hostess Raffaella, who made us fresh breakfast every day - usually some baked goods, home made yoghurt and absolutely delicious coffee. She was very kind to help us out with all the information we needed and was happy to reply to all of our (probably very annoying!) questions that we came up with almost every day - and in great English!
This was the kind of place, which is actually a highlight of a trip, not just somewhere to come for sleep!
Would definitely return here and recommend to anyone - I think it is a rare thing to find some place of such hospitality, quality and price in Palermo.

My dear friend and I had chance to travel to Sicily together last october in occasion of her birthday. Prior arrival we were looking for a place to stay in Palermo for the first night, and with a couple of search, we encountered this great place, Piccola Sicilia, soon to be discovered that the owner is from Sardinia, we actually we were coming from.
The place is unique and amazingly well decorated, breakfast included for delicious typical sicilian food and fresh croissant from the nearby shop. Beautiful the ceramic floors and the coloured but stylish room, well equipped with wi fi and cable tv. Very close to city centre by walking.
I recommend the place for his genuine, healthy and elegant welcoming. it's a great way to discover Palermo.

Room Tip: All rooms are well located and all with wi fi, cable and of course his private bathroom.

When we arrived in Palermo it turned out that our luggage did not arrive with us. Dissapointed, we went to the rental car office and had to navigate to The B&B without our GPS. Tired, grumpy and very late we arrived, and were so happy to see our hostess, Raffaella, still waiting for us. She was very understanding and offered to call the airline for us the next day regarding our luggage. She arranged so we could wash our clothes and made us a great breakfast with creppes and home made yoghurt.
Very nice and personal service. Good bed, clean and pretty room and quiet (for a big city). Just what we are looking for when we rent a B&B. It is very central, just a few minutes walk to the Teatro Massimo. Very nice hood, with local restaurants and a nice Champagneria just around the block. Not crouded with tourists. The perfect palace to stay in Palarmo!

A small tucked away b and b in Palermo. Welcoming hosts who took us in with all our baggage and two bicycles. Helped us plan the next stage of our route looking up bus timetables. Lovely breakfast with home made yoghurt. Shame it was just one night.

Best place to stay in Palermo is the B&B Piccola Sicilia.
Very close to the downtown, the B&B Piccola Sicilia is located in a quiet building.
Large bedrooms full of facilities, very clean.
Rich breakfast, gluten free breakfast as well (a gluten free bakery is in front of the B&B).
The hosts Raffaella and Daniele are very polite and helpful in organizing your trips.
We love them!

This B&B is very well located but essentially comprises 2 bedrooms detached from the proprietors' flat. Breakfast is served in the owners' living-room and comes straight from their kitchen. It was good, but not plentiful or varied: you eat what's served to you, and that could be a bit of an inconvenience for the likes of us who are vegetarians. In other words, you feel like you are visiting relatives. Although the landlord couple was very welcoming and polite, the setting may not be to everybody's taste. Rooms are clean, reasonably spacious and not particularly quiet (I suppose it wouldn't be reasonable to expect large and quiet rooms in downtown Palermo); the bathroom could do with a more through scrubbing (it wasn't filthy, only a bit soap-stained in the shower). A suggestion for a better impression: white linings, please... Finally, no credit cards accepted, so be prepared with cash.
