I think I can understand why this restaurant has generated so much approval from TA reviewers. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic in their presentation of a series of dishes that can only be described as average in quality and fairish value for money. The grilled mixed fish at 14 Euros comprised a very small piece of overcooked swordfish, a fillet of mackerel, two stale prawns and a tough squid. Having been to the local fish market in the morning, I knew what was available locally and at what price that day. Coming from a seaside town I also know what fresh fish tastes like. The pistachio semi freddo was a cut above the average and obviously home made. My partner took against the lack of atmosphere - stark white walls and strong lighting - and I did not like the extremely high levels of noise in a room without any soft furnishings. Overall, we thought this a modest restaurant which, because of its enthusiastic and customer friendly staff, will probably improve and prosper. In order to do so it needs to pay proper regard to the quality of the food it serves and do something about the ambiance, or lack of it.

This restaurant was recommended to us by an Englishman walking his dog and who llived in the area. From the complimentary homemade appetizers of spicy and mayonnaise dips to the finale of the chef's own cassatta speciality, every mouthful was a delight. Lovely family atmosphere.

This was our first night out in Palermo, and we could not have had a more amazing dinner. We were treated like family the moment we walked in the door. The service was impeccable. This is a family run restaurant, using all of the freshest ingredients from the nearby Ballero Market. Our meals were paired with local Sicilian wines which were also amazing. I ordered the gnocci with pumpkin sauce, and every bite was like heaven. The appetizers and desserts were amazing as well. Homemade limoncello ended the night. This restaurant is off of the main street in the vicinity of Ballero market and Palazzo Conte Federico, and you will see signs pointing you in the right direction. We made friends with the staff and came back a second time during our trip. You will not find a better meal or a friendlier atmosphere in all of Palermo!

We found this restaurant on trip advisor and was just delighted with our experience. The owner/chef, Diego makes wonderful home made pasta, fish and sauces. The fish just melted in our mouths. His sister and brother are the wait staff and we felt like we were in a cousin's home for dinner. Though difficult to find, up a narrow street, around the corner, with a proper map, you will have success. Nicoli, the brother, pointed us to the local market just down the street which was a wonderful, local experience as we walked in Palermo. You will enjoy this lovely restaurant, the family and most of all, the food.

I really enjoyed my whole dining experience and the hospitality of the chef and staff. Right from the start, we were greeted by complimentary aperitif and some bread. The chef personally came out to greet us and explained some items on the menu and showed us the fish of the day. for each of our dish, the chef also came out to explain to us the ingredients used. it was a truly enjoyable (and entertaining) dining experience. The chef is quite a showman :)
