I think I can understand why this restaurant has generated so much approval from TA reviewers. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic in their presentation of a series of dishes that can only be described as average in quality and fairish value for money. The grilled mixed fish at 14 Euros comprised a very small piece of overcooked swordfish, a fillet of mackerel, two stale prawns and a tough squid. Having been to the local fish market in the morning, I knew what was available locally and at what price that day. Coming from a seaside town I also know what fresh fish tastes like. The pistachio semi freddo was a cut above the average and obviously home made. My partner took against the lack of atmosphere - stark white walls and strong lighting - and I did not like the extremely high levels of noise in a room without any soft furnishings. Overall, we thought this a modest restaurant which, because of its enthusiastic and customer friendly staff, will probably improve and prosper. In order to do so it needs to pay proper regard to the quality of the food it serves and do something about the ambiance, or lack of it.
