Description: Old Town, creative cuisine Tradition and innovation, experience and continuous search for new combinations. The creative cuisine is never out of nowhere, the ingredients and techniques of traditional cuisine, especially of a land rich in flavors such as ours Sicily, are always a starting point, a cultural background, a continuous path that leads to new experiences flavor. Contrasts that come out is often concealed the success of an unforgettable recipe. Three rooms - a sort of "projection of an internalized landscape" according to the description of the author of the project - will welcome you in a comfortable and seductive where the sight, taste, smell, and feel of our dishes will involve in a contamination of the senses, even your hearing and enjoying them... you can hear "The Eighth Note".

Lovely food, well presented, good service. We dined here on our 2nd night in Palermo and had not got used to the very large portions they serve here. We had a antipasto (fava soup with baby squid), unusual and very good, a primi (pasta with sea urchins) delicious and lamb as a secondo. The lamb was lovely, but was too full to appreciate it fully. No room for desert. This is a lovely restaurant, waiters very attentive, but not overly so, and we really recommend it.

The food is exceptional from classic Sicilian favorites to absolute edible works of art. The chef is incredible, original (and also extremely down to earth) and is always challenging to create something new. Definitely listen to the specials! As a huge foodie, who had a successful baking business in Los Angeles, I can assure you, everything at L'Ottava Nota is local, fresh, and fantastic!!!! When I have friends visiting from LA or NYC with discerning tastes, I always take them here. They're blown away!!! And fyi, the ambiance is really cool too...the lay out of this restaurant is straight out of Detail magazine. We generally go there for dinner, but they are also open for lunch most days too. Great for a romantic dinner or with group of friends. If you are in Palermo, only for one night....(but hopefully, more because I know, you WILL want to go back), than this is your restaurant!

We ate at L'Ottava Nota twice during our stay in Palermo. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Everything was good from the appetizers, main courses and desserts. On our first visit we all had had the primo (pasta) dishes and on our second visit we all chose dishes from the second (meat and fish) dishes. Every dish was wonderful.

we expected a lot after having had wonderfull meals in Palermo at lower ranked restaurants. the location is nice and modern. the food was unfortunately only avarage. one of the main courses was delivered 20 minutes later than all other without any apology or explanation. we left without coffee or desert and were not even asked by the waiters. if you want to spend an exceptional evening and receive a real sicilian service than go somewhere else. would certainly not recommend the place.

We stayed at a hotel right next to the restaurant called Abattelis Luxury, which was also very good and struck lucky having this as the closest restaurant.

Really excellent restruant and service. Had dinner twice and everything good. Fish and pasta in particular, also recommend the canolo for dessert. It was a full every night mid week so a reservation is probably required.
