We indicated that we were a honeymoon couple and the wonderful staff at Massimo had decorated the room with rose petals and had some spumante and chocolates ready for us when we arrived. A lovely, big, clean room, excellent sound-proofed windows so we had a terrace facing the hustle and bustle but none of the noises keeping you awake at night. The piece de resistance was the LED shower - a great, huge, powerful shower with a head that changes colours - everything about the place felt like a quietly confident celebration. Polite and friendly staff, breakfast served to bedroom. Bus outside the door that drops you to the main station so no need to drag the bags. Close to everything, we went walking at midnight for a brioche and there was plenty of life around. I could not find fault. Would recommend and would stay again. Thank you for a lovely start to our life together Hotel Massimo :)

Room Tip: We were facing the street but the windows were soundproofed so I imagine any room is a good choice!

This 4-star hotel rigth in front of Teatro Massimo in the heart of the city centre was a fantastic choice for spending a summer weekend in beautiful Palermo. All main sights are within walking distance if you have good legs and good shoes and the hotel itself offers quite elegant, sober rooms totally free from street noise despite its location in the very centre of the city. The staff was extraordinary serviceminded and helpful, always ready to assist and give you the best possible service. A delicious breakfast brought directly to our room every morning, without extra charge was adding to the luxury feeling. We vere also offered free transport from the hotel to Mondello Beach every day if we wanted to spend the day on the beach. However, we just stayed in the city centre, strolling around looking at the marvellously different building styles you will find on every street corner, visiting some galleries and the botanical garden. Just around the corner from the hotel, there are plentiful of nice wine bars and restaurants with great value for money.
All in all a marvellous experience!

Stayed one night here on 30 May. The hotel is directly opposite the Massimo Theatre which is one of the main tourist sites in Palermo. The side streets beside the hotel have loads of options for sitting outside restaurants for meals or glasses of vino!

The staff are really helpful and friendly and the rooms are nicely furnished. There are only 11 rooms in the hotel. Only downside is that there are lots of steps up to the hotel which may not suit everybody. While coffee at breakfast is fabulous, breakfast overall would be better if fresh fruit and yogurts were supplied with the breads, ham and cheese. Saying that, we got the room and breakfast for fantastic value so shouldn't complain too much!

The things I liked:
This cozy hotel is located right in the middle of Massimo Piazza, in the very center of historical part of Palermo. Just turn left and find few beautiful churches or go right and you find yourself surrounded by shops of all possible brands or just walk around the hotel and eat in some coffees which are located at nearest to hotel square.
Very nice, smiling and helpful personal.
Good big soundproof room, with very comfortable beds and all promised in advertising facilities.
The set of toiletries besides the usual items includes also after shave cream, cream for body and so on.
You can order for breakfast what you like and it will be served in you room without any charges for room service.
And, of course, the atmosphere of care about you and your rest!

Room Tip: My room had window on the opposit side of the building, looking on the small street. The room was...

Stayed here last weekend for 4 nights, it was just right for what we wanted (location and price), View not a issue as we tend to only sleep in the room, breakfast was really good got what we asked for. The staff were excellent and very friendly could not have done more from the warm welcome on arrival to the last minute before we left. The bedrooms and bathroom were spotless as was reception and small dining area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, what the hotel lacks in size is certainly made up by the friendly and helpful staff.

Room Tip: If you do want a view you need to stay in the front of the hotel, but beware that it could be noisy

The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Limited offerings from the bar and breakfast was a bit underwhelming and crowded, but the staff went the extra mile in every aspect to make us comfortable.

The view from the back of the hotel is next to nothing. If we come back to Palermo we would want a view from the front of the hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the plaza if you can.

We stayed as a family in this very small hotel. The staff was very attentive and the price was reasonable considering it included continental breakfast. Would probably stay again. It is quite a trek from the street to the hotel up a flight of stairs. The hotel was very quiet despite being on a main street across from the Opera house. We lost a camera but can't be sure it was lost in the hotel. Keep the valuables locked up or with you as in any hotel.

Room Tip: There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby
