4 university students interrailing around Italy/Sicily and our first place was Palermo. As students, we just wanted somewhere nice and cheap, decent food and good staff. This is the place if you're looking for that! Staff were very polite, especially our favourite waiter Nico (you'll know who we mean if you go, he looks like Diego Forlan if you know your footballers) and he's really nice/funny/welcoming. Food was decently priced however we'd recommend you go for a pizza. Starters were also very nice!

Very friendly waiter sat us on a table into the tent. From then on, it went not good. The waiters all the time stay outside, trying to catch passing by people, but do rarly care about that people, they already catched - like us. Bottles of wine and water are put on the table - no serving. The mixed salad for 4€ was a joke: a handfull careless cutted icebergsalad and half tomato thrown together without anything else: no oil, no spice or herbs or something. My partner had Spagh. Bolognese, me Spagh. Carbonara - both tasteless and unlovly and unitalian like food in the last german mensa cantine. Cheeseplate tasted like the refridgerator. Pricing was quite high. No aperetiv, no Espresso offer. The waiters try to be friendly and charming-but its all very unprofessional.

We ate here twice during our stay in Palermo and on each occasion we enjoyed good food with very nice wines at very reasonable prices. The Secondi Veal dishes deserve particular mention especially when served with the blue cheese sauce.
Service was prompt and efficient especially when the ‘Patron’ was present and the reception was friendly and welcoming. Not a place to try driving to because, in common with most of Palermo, parking is a nightmare!
I cannot identify with the comments from Mmark.

We stopped by for refreshment after a busy day tramping the sites of Palermo. It is pleasantly located in a pedestrian thoroughfare with lots of "people watching" possibilities. Probably not the best place to go, but we did not care about that. We needed a drink and an ice cream. We got both without difficulty at a reasonable price.

This is the worst dining experience I have had in a long time.
The food was terrible and the staff were the rudist people that I've ever encountered. The starters were fine but clearly from a tin and the mains were swill. Please don't waste your money on these nasty people. Ignore the few good reviews.
