“Forgettable Sunday Lunch”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

The food was only ok: the antipasto buffet was good but not much for 10 euros; the pennette alla Norma was precooked and soft (unforgivable); main courses fine but nothing you would repeat; dessert was a tiny lemon granita (for the fixed price menu); the house red wine was really pretty good. The waiters were too quick to take our order. Generally: ok not great and I wouldn’t go back.

“Precooked pasta”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

Try to avoid that place!!we chose it just for location and made a big mistake! Untasty precooked pasta which obviously they cook at morning and just warm up before serving, absolutely undelisious pizza which was impossible to eat! And at the end waiter can`t even bring you a bill so you need to go to a special table with cashier and pay you bill. This is not a restaurant service!!This is service for cheap fast food cafe!

“good restaurant, great location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

just beside "teatro massimo", one of the largest opera theatres in Europe, the restaurant offers a vast choice of italian and sicilian dishes and very good pizza. The desserts trolley is mouthwatering and the owners, Maria and Giuseppe, are very nice. A large "al fresco" area allow the customers to dine enjoying the warm local weather. Reasonable prices.

“Surprised - in a good way.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2012

Situated just beside one of the biggest attractions in Palermo, i was afraid it may be touristy: overpriced, snobbish and/or blant, boring and tastely.
But i was kind of forced to go there since there was no other open eatingplaces, in a nearby distance from my hotel.
And it was surprisingly good - nice service, tasty food, good local redwine.

“Tourist trap, bad food... but can't blame the service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012

First evening in Palermo. We were staying next to Teatro Massimo, hadn't visited the city yet and had to find a place for dinner. There was a Rough Guide in our rented apartment and we found that they recommended this place we spotted when walking around. So we decided to give it a try and the experience was really disappointing. The service is not to be blamed as all the waiters were really nice but this is a tourist trap with bad food by any standard and prices that are ridiculous when compared to most of places in Palermo. Conclusion : don't trust the Rough Guide (it's really a shame they picked this place among all others in Palermo. Were they paid for it?) and avoid this place.
