This restaurant was our highlight in Palermo on the dining front. We were initially a bit taken aback by the fact that you need to ring the bell outside to get in and that you are seated in the basement but the environment is very nice, well decorated without being overwhelming and the service is impeccable. The menu is not overloaded and we felt spoilt for choice. Even reading the choices is a pleasure! Recommendations by the staff were excellent even though the quantities in the end were a bit challenging. The food was excellent and seemed to make the best out of the Sicilian seafood and an inventive cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed that experience.

Go if you can!

We arrived there on occasion due to neighbour restaurant where we booked a table suddenly decided not to work that night.

Pretty light place in the basement. It's definitely elegant place in spite of its size. Intersting drawings on the walls. Attentive staff (though I insistently recommend check details vs. total of your bills). Good selection of wines though some of them might not be available.

Attractive menu with the originally cooked and decorated dishes. This circumstance a little compensates not exactly impressive size.

Food was not that good and service was bad. However, a definite local upscale spot. We were the only two seated for dinner but by the time we had eaten, the locals were coming in.

My husband and I were on the last night of our weeklong trip in Sicily, heading for Rome the next day, and I am so glad that this was our last meal in Sicily. Once we saw the plates being served to guests sitting around us, we knew that this was the meal we would splurge on (oh yes, ALL the courses!) and never regret. The food was beautifully presented and of exceptional taste and quality. The place is really authentic and local - side note, I am actually not sure the wait staff spoke much English as we were the only foreigners there (always a good sign) and I spoke Italian with them. The meal was truly an experience - and an absolute pleasure to experience Sicilian cuisine in a sophisticated atmosphere, yet without any pretentiousness. Each course was delightful. We absolutely splurged, with first, second, and dessert courses, along with a lovely bottle of Sicilian wine, for $140 USD. If you want to treat yourself on your next trip to Palermo, at a reasonable price, you must go here!

We wanted to have a dinner to remember in Palermo and were very happy with our choice. We shared great appetizers, pasta and secondi dishes which were served in a very elegant downstairs setting. The staff were courteous and helpful in steering us to a great reasonably priced Sicilian red wine. Would go back if we had more days. Would recommend a reservation if you are going during the busy hours.
