This was recommended by the hotel. We went there about 1830 and rang the bell - the actual restaurant is down one flight of stairs - and managed to snare the last table. Dinner starts around 1930. Great service from start to finish, with helpful recommendations from the staff. The food is delicious - we had individual antipasti and shared the pasta, which was just as well as by the time the mains came we had just enough room. Well worth the visit, best to make a reservation, closed Mondays.

We were tired as we had got up early at 4.30am to catch the flight to Palermo and we just wanted something reliable for supper. The Concierge recommended Bellotero which was down a quiet side street in central Palermo. We arrived early and it was not yet open and my husband couldn't be bothered to wait as he said it didn't look very interesting. How wrong can one be! I peered in and saw that it looked a serious food place but not glamorous. I prefer that sort of place. We rang the bell and the owner explained that they had only just finished clearing from the full house at lunchtime. We were made comfortable at our table and from then on it was pretty perfect. Each course we ordered was perfectly executed and utterly delicious. The presentation was worthy of a much more expensive restaurant and was totally professional. The service was superb. Of seven restaurants we visited in Palermo, this was the best and we would have gone back if we had known in advance how awful the others were. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We had a delightful dinner here after an evening stroll in the nearby Giardino Inglese. The service staff was very friendly and entertaining. The maitre d' and the chef are partners in this ristorante that serves classic Sicilian dishes with an artistic presentation and composition. The maitre d' described his partner as an artist, a Chagall in the kitchen. For example, our perfectly prepared seafood risotto was made with a pale green parsley cream that complemented the hints of coral in the shrimp and the candied lemon rind making a complete visual and gastronomic delight.

Bellotero is a lovely restaurant close to the city center of Palermo. The Restaurant has a typical italian flair and has abeautiful atmosphere Both waiters are very friendly and work on a very high service level to exceed guests expectations. Also extra orders are taken with pleasure. The food selection and quality is outstanding, the choice of regional and national wines large. The restaurant is visited by local as well as international guests.

We spend two beautiful evenings at Belotero Restaurant and had been exrtemly satisfied!

Bellotero is a very nice restaurant that also is rated as Big Goumand in the Michelin Guide. Service is very high and excellent in all aspects. Menu, food and wine selection is also excellent and of very high quality - especially at this price level. Almost at Michelin Star level and at average pluss prices (i.e. large appetisers at 8-15 euro, primi at 10-15 and Secondi at 13-25. Very highly recommended:-)
