“Sicilian Treasure”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

Visited here in the evening for coffee and cake after a recommendation by another restaurant we had lunch in. We were really impressed by the quality of their desserts and service. Finished
up sitting people watching and relaxing for ages. The staff are really attentive and polite.

“Our "local"”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

We stayed in Palermo for 2 nights and went here both nights after our passegiata and dinner, on the second night the waiter remembered our order and made us feel at home. It's a great place to relax after a busy day's sightseeing and people watch. There was a pianist here on one of the nights and the ice cream was very popular and looked really good

“A great place to listen to the piano and watch the Passagiata!”
Reviewed September 19, 2012

My husband and I greatly enjoyed visiting the Spinnato Cafe on three of our evenings in Palermo. It is conveniently situated around the corner from the Grand Hotel et des Palmes Hotel, and an idea place for early evening Aperitifs . The Cafe offers a good selection of cocktails along with complimentary 'nibbles' but it was the 'people watching' that one comes to this place.
The cafe offers light snacks (a very doughy and not awfully good pizza) and ice creams.
The cafe is fairly ordinary inside, and the loos need to be properly cleaned, however, it is outside where there is a super atmosphere and it is a delight to listen to the pianist.
Our favourite drinks were the Brandy Alexanders!

“What a find!”
Reviewed June 13, 2012

We were so excited to find Caffe Spinnato around the corner from our hotel. What a pleasant setting. Their espresso drinks are perfect, and their pastries convinced me that not all Italian desserts are wet cake or dry cookies. What do you want.....beer or a drink, cappucino, great gelato, yummy pastry......it's all here. And it is open 'till midnight! It was our home away from home in Palermo.
