My girlfriend and I stayed here at the end of the summer. I don't usually write reviews, but the owner of this place was so welcoming and helpful that i think I will.
The flat is ample in terms of space, it was cleaned before and during our stay, with fresh bedding and towels provided. Cooking facilities were made up of a gas hob and a large microwave. There was also a fair amount of storage for clothes, bags etc. The bathroom was modern and the shower powerful, a much needed refreshment during the heat! If I went back to Palermo I would stay here again. There are also a couple of good restaurants directly downstairs, and it is within 30 seconds of some good bars. There is also a dance school directly opposite which made for some entertaining balcony viewing! 9/10

This is a B&B with excellent location in the very centre of the city of Palermo, just one minute walk from the famous Teatro Massimo. Located in the noisy street of Via Orologio where there is a number of restaurants and caffes working late into night. We arrived very late, after mid-night, but there was a very nice and pleasant guy waiting there for us and this was not a problem at all. The room was spacious, big enough for two persons, with high ceiling, very clean and with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was not very new, but very clean as well. Breakfast was very, very basic, and served at the table in one corner of the room, before we arrived, so nothing really fresh.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms looking onto the street (Via Orologio) if such rooms available.

Perfect stay in the city centre. Though not a hotel or B&B in the classical sense, this one-room B&B offered us all what we needed: nice and big room and big bath room. Though it can be noisy outside (bar area), you do not hear anything thanks to the isolated windows. Breakfast is pre-prepared thus it does not provide you with fresh bread or brioche, nevertheless we were totally happy with the choice of fruits offered.

Not very welcoming, same "pay cash" stunt pulled to another person who wrote a review. Since it is a B&B, I'll rate both.
Bed is poor, 1st price ikea bed.
Breakfast is actually what you can see in the picture : make yourself some tea or coffee + wrapped up in plastic croissant and bred loaf.... Palermo is one of the best places to eat in italy including pastry... Ot os a complete deception from that point of view. In fact I had breakfast outside.
Other than that the room was ok, big clean, AC works and the location is dead bang in the center.

The location is perfect and the B&B is new and clean. The forniture could be improved with small things, like a drawer and another desk. It's full of bars under the room which is nice but if you're back from a long walking day and you feel like resting and spleeping it can be a bit noisy up to late hours.

Room: The room was dated and did not have a modern look. It had a hippie/bohemian feel to it. It was nothing like the photos provided by the management. The marketing photos made it look luxurious, and it was far from that. Very old, dated room that didn't seem clean.

Cleanliness: I would rate cleanliness as Poor

Location: Good location right across from the Teatro Massimo, but right near the restaurants and nightlife, so there was a tremendous amount of noise coming from the street and it was difficult to get to sleep with all the noise from downstairs.

Food: The B&B provided a "breakfast" which was some old packaged croissants and jam. Who knows how long those had been there. They looked artificial and unappetizing. Nevertheless, I would have been happier with a clean modern room and could care less about breakfast. They would be better off not providing anything than to provide poor quality food.

Review: B&B Teatro Massimo definitely disappointed me because the photos did not represent the actual environment and room. Also, I was emailed by the management to confirm what time I would arrive and they said the check in time was 1pm. I arrived at 1pm and no one answered the door. I called and then someone texted me back, but I had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to show up. Then, I told the guy that let me in that I wanted to pay now because I had to leave early in the morning. He said that his credit card machine was broken and asked for cash. I told him I would have to go get cash from an ATM. Then he came back and brought the credit card machine and surprise! It works! How convenient! It seemed shady to me that he pulled that stunt trying to get me to pay cash, but since he wanted to leave there and not wait, all of the sudden, the machine works!

There was a large bathroom, and when I lifted the European style showerhead up to use it, the water spilled out and leaked all over the floor because the splash guard did nothing to stop the water from leaking out. So, there was no way to shower except to put the showerhead back low as if to fill the tub, and crouch down under the showerhead. It was a huge mess and flood. I think they do not maintain the bathroom or check that it functions properly, because this was obviously a huge problem.

Value for Money: I would rate it Poor on value for money. Not satisfied at all. Basically, I did not get to see or do much because the guide was lazy. Aside from the poor weather on the second day, we could have taken advantage of a lot more of the times when the day was clear.

Overall Experience: I would rate it Poor because there are much better choices of hotels and you can get a lot more value for money.

Satisfaction Rating: Poor

This B&B (really oversized apartments) is located in the heart of the clubs of Palermo. The location is great, the sounds from the clubs and bars is interesting, and the building is located on a street where you can reach out and almost touch your neighbor's balconies. All make for a fun experience. The owner is friendly and helpful. Our apartment had a kitchen stocked with coffee, prepackaged biscuits and croissants. If you don't want to fuss, walk out the main door, turn right, cross the main street and have a great coffee and croissant at the Massimo Cafe. The apartment is nicely appointed with hair dryer, shampoo/soap, etc. and is very, very clean.
