“Beautiful spacious room, lovely breakfast”
Reviewed October 1, 2011

The room would cost a fortune in a New York boutique hotel. Spacious, elegant, comfortable, airconditioned. The breakfast is much more cosy, but also excellent. The prorietors, Antonio and Anna very welcoming. And it's a great place to explore Catania - very central. Delightful and well worth the money.

Room Tip: they'll show you the rooms available and you can choose.

I selected this B&B based on Tripadvisor reviews and I'm glad I did! The location is excellent... right in the downtown near many restaurants, bars, and shops. It was also possible to walk to interbus station and train station. We used the bus to go to Siracusa and the train for Giardini Naxos/Taormina.
Although there were only 2 of us, they provided a big room that could hold 4 with balcony... really spacious! The room was spotless clean and with internet. As the other reviews mentioned, rooms are also decorated with Antonio paintings.
Breakfast was on a agreed time between us and Antonio (depending on what we had planned for the day), fresh food & coffee, and excellent music.
Anna was helpful in providing restaurant tips, places where locals go and not tourist traps. We appreciated this very much!
I hope I can return to Catania soon and if I do I will definitely stay here again!

I have just returned from Catania, Sicily where I stayed at B&B Faro. Both Antonio and Anna were very friendly and hospitable. The place was very clean and well equipped for your holiday to discover the city of Catania and the towns around. Surely, it is in an excellent location – just 1 minute walk to Etnea street, the main street in Catania, the duomo of St. Agatha, the fish, fruit & vegetable market and all the amenities including restaurants, pizzerias, grocery shops and bars. At the B&B, there is also a lift, so if you have any elderly travelling with you, do not worry, it is elderly friendly too. The B&B Faro is decorated with many original paintings which are the creation of Antonio himself. He will definitely love to share a chat with you about his paintings, exhibitions and motives. Staying here got also other advantages too because it is few minutes walk to the train station from where you can reach the beautiful town of Taormina, the beaches at Isola Bella, the Greek theatre, Siracusa, Messina amongst others. Both owners would be very glad to help you anytime either in the morning when they will prepare for you your excellent daily breakfast, in the afternoon or any other time you need to ask some questions. So, if you want to experience real Sicily, do not hesitate to go to Catania and stay at this B&B, because it is reallly worth it.

The service was amazing, the owner is a Painter, so the B&B is all decorated with his paintings. He was very nice with us and also, gave us some tips about Catania.
The breakfast was so nice and delicious! Always with great music.
The room was always cleaned and the rooms are very nice and well decorated.
The location is great because it's in the downtown and there are a lot of things to do, restaurants and shops.

Room Tip: Clean, nice and in town!

A B&B that is ideally situated in the middle of the old town centre of Catania. We got also useful suggestions... ranging from eateries one should visit (lovely food at the “Wine Bar” just 20m down the road) to beautiful places once can visit in Catania. The rooms are spacious with a lot of art and paintings from the host and the beds comfortable. Great breakfast at the host’s dining area with nice view of Catania’s old city. We recommend this B&B to all those interested in visiting Catania city since the price and quality offered is just great. Nice and relaxed hosts – on the check-out day we could even leave our luggage in the room till afternoon so we could explore Catania without carrying all our stuff. Look for the name of B&B Faro on the doorbell since you won’t find any other sign.

Every time i fly on Catania, i stay longer or shorter at Anna & Antonios B&B, its a green oasis on the top floor of a barok pallazo, every room is different, and all are well kept and designed. it does feel and look more like litle private apartments then a B&B, so one can enjoy all the privacy if one cares, they also have a room at the studio of Antonio, who is a wonderful painter! and a nice apartment at the gate of a church on piazza Stessicoro
The breakfast is great and all the others service and help they give is wonderful.
They don't push themselves on you and one is free as in one's own house, but they are always helpful and assist you where asked for, wonderful hosts.
i have been going there for over 6 years and will be going there forever!

We were let in through the great doors of a 17th century Catanian building by our host Anna and made our way up the elevator to the top floor where we were surprised by a light and green entrance to the rooms. Our host Anna was both charming and comforting. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable with impressive original paintings on the walls fresh flowers and real coffee and tea making facilities in the room . Breakfast was all you could ask for, good coffee, fresh cakes, toast, muesli and fruit - all attentively prepared by Anna's husband Antonio who was also generous with advice about Catania and, when prompted, talked to us about his work as an artist. Anna and Antonio treated us like friends and couldn't be more generous. We stayed three nights and found the location perfect for exploring inner city Catania.
