Stayed at Vittorio Emanuele for 10days in Aug/Sept 2012. The hotel is situated on Sassari's main road and is very convenient to the train station, Arst bus terminus and the local bus terminus, all being only 5-10mins walk. (less with a shortcut). We found this hotel very comfortable to stay in. The bedroom was of a good size with mini-bar, Sky TV, air conditioning, large bathroom and excellent shower, rooms were cleaned and serviced daily. We had booked a room with terrace and for the extra charge for terrace we would have liked to have actually been able to sit out on the terrace, (no chairs on terrace). Still we did enjoy being able to open the door leading onto terrace. The breakfast was very good, buffet style with a good selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, assorted fruit drinks and smoothies. an assortment of cheeses, ham, breads, croissants, pastries, tea and coffee. The hotel restaurant is also worth checking out, they do special menus on certain nights and we enjoyed a lovely 4 course meal with excellent service from the staff. (staff very helpful in explaining the menu in english as our italian was limited). Restaurant prices were very reasonable and surprisingly for a hotel, the wine we ordered was cheaper than some we had ordered in local restaurants. We dined twice in the hotel and both times the food and service was excellent. I found our stay in this hotel to be very pleasant, the artwork and decor is very tastefully done, all the staff were very helpful, the reception staff greeting us at all times coming and going. Hotel is in a prime location, near to shops, bars and lots of local eateries. I would definetly recommend this hotel to people travelling through Sassari and will most certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel would be quieter as Hotel sits on a main road.

The hotel is ideally located in the center of Sassari. It has not its own parking lot, but at a few steps away there is a parking, free for the night and on weekends.
Breakfast can please everyone. The rooms are spacious and very clean, except for some black stripes on the walls ...
The hotel offers free WiFi internet and the staff is really nice.
The only negative point about this hotel, in my opinion, is that the walls seem to be made of cardboard. We would have wanted a little more sleep in the morning, but once they start doing the housework or as soon as the neighbors in the next room wake up, the tranquility is over ... what a pity ...

After arriving on the quay at Porto Torres off the (excellent) ferry from Marseilles and enduring a hot bus journey to a bleak bus station in Sassari, this hotel was a reassuring pleasure. Unprepossessing outside, it is modern and efficient inside. Our room was large, cool and comfortable; breakfast generous and good (we did not try the restaurant for dinner). It was very good value for such a well-appointed and comfortable hotel. And it is very well situated, halfway along Sassari's principal street between the central piazzas and the railway station. Sassari's many sites of interest are close by (it is a surprisingly rewarding and enjoyable city). The archaeological museum is very interesting. And don't miss the statue of that important but underrated saint, San Gavino, on the facade of the Duomo.

We stayed here for 6 nights in June 2012. The hotel was really easy to find, being only 5-10 minutes walk from the City's Railway Station, and being on the City's main shopping street. As far as we could see it was the only hotel actually in the City Centre.

We had booked a comfort double with 'French' Bed, (whatever that was), but was allocated a standard double room, which was on the 1st floor at the end of a corridor (room 102). After travelling on a hot train from Olbia for a couple of hours we were ready for a shower, but found that one of the sliding shower doors was broken, and had to be lifted to close properly. Later we mentioned this to the guy on reception and he said he would attend to it over the next couple of days, but nothing happened. The cleaner must have had problems with the door every day, so I assume the hotel were content to leave it broken. After unpacking our luggage I couldn't be bothered to change rooms, and as the rest of the room was fine we didn't mention it again.

The hotel itself if ok, with a good breakfast / dinner room with plenty of choice for breakfast. There is a small lounge area with a tv and some novels to read.

Probably the hotels best feature is it's location, being right on Sassari's main shopping street, and only a few minutes walk from numerous bars and restaurants.

Would I book this hotel again? Probably, if I was ever visiting Sassari again, but I would want to check out the room first.

Room Tip: Avoid room 102 (Broken Shower Door). It's also right above the restaurant so you can hear chare...

Very clean and spacious rooms as well as the service. I wouldn't suggest the restaurant that's in the hotel though. Other than that and considering value for money, thumbs up!

I have spent 17 nights in April 2012 in this hotel situated in the center of Sassari. The hotel is nicely situated in the old center of Sassari and everything is easily accessible by food. The personal of the hotel is very friendly and forthcoming. They quickly responded to all of my "extra-demands". The hotel looks really nice and clean and so do the rooms. One drawback of the hotel is that it has no own parking. So you need to park your car on Piazza Manzoni which is just arround the corner of the hotel. You normally can easily find parking spots there, however if you arrive between 18h - 20h it can sometimes take a while before finding a parking spot. The hotel has also its own restaurant. Food there is of high quality and it is the best restaurant I went to in this part of the town. Unfortunately the menu card is rather little so eating there too often is not adviced.

To sum it up ... I will go back there next time I am in Sassari ....

we arrived in Sassari without a plan. Driving into the old city we came across the hotel. They had a room free for one n ight and it was perfect for a short stay: quite, good bed, modern badroom and very clean. The staff was very helpfull: they gave a very good tip about a very nice restaurant in the neighbourhood, and for the next day a suggestion for a trip to the most beautifull beach ever seen.

Room Tip: rooms at the back are quite, you can sleep with the window open
