Would we recommend to a friend - definitely. Piero and family were charming and helpful, the villa was clean, stylish and well-equipped. It's not clear from the details but it's in what's effectively a gated community of holiday villas. Plenty of pots and pans if you want to cook for yourselves, large fridge, washing machine, etc. Only room for two sun loungers in the garden but couches in the shade too. There's a bar+pizzeria by the swimming pool (small charge for entry) which never had more than 8 people in it whilst we were there. Most of the villas look to be family-owned and occupied. The beach is 5-10 minutes easy walk away with good safe swimming and snorkelling. Kite surfing and kayaks too, if that's what you want. Unusually, there were no details of local restaurants or shops. However, the Auchan supermarket just outside the airport (15 mins away by car) had everything, the mall around it was okay and the Wild West Steak House surprisingly great. If you need decent Internet access, drop into the Jazz Hotel on the edge of the airport - great cocktails and wonderful food too. Good fish market if you're up early in one of the villages to the south. Good Neolithic sites about 45 minutes north if you want to wander around those. Very relaxing all around.
