My husband and I spent 6 nights at A&A B&B in August 2006. We had flown to Figari in Corsica with Thomson fly and hired a car, taking the 50 minute ferry from Bonifacio to Sta Teresa di Galluri which is about a 1 hour drive from this B&B. We chose here because the booking service via the web site agent was so efficient and we were extremely impressed. The B&B is well signposted off the Olbia road however we thought we were lost coming through the mountain road (via Priatu). It is located right up in the mountains and has wonderful views of the countryside.

Easy to get to Olbia quite quickly. Our room was at the top of the house (up a few flights of stairs) and it was very clean and looked to have been refurbished recently - the bathroom was immaculate. There was a small TV - it had no english channels but that didn't bother us too much. The pool area also looks very new and was exceptionally clean. The food was fantastic and we ate there for dinner every night - each night we had different Sardinian specialities - the menu was always a surprise and was exceptional value - traditional Sardinian crispbread, 2 or 3 different starters, 1st course pasta/rice, main course (fish/meat), desert, coffee, mineral water and wine for 25 euros per person. My husband adored the 'porcheddu' (suckling pig) however I had great difficulty getting past the first course each night as the portions were so big! We were able to explore most of Northern Sardinia from here but we didn't go too far south as the roads would have meant most of the day in the car otherwise....we didn't realize how big Sardinia was when we booked I guess! All in all a super B&B well run by a lovely couple and it is super value so we would definately return there in the future.

We arrived at Olbia airport with great plans to see all of the northern part of the island, but we never managed to venture away from the pool and garden at Angelo e Arcangela very often. Great place, real little oasis up in the mountains and very peaceful, but when you do drag yourselves away it’s a pretty good base to get around from. Nice rooms, simple but everything you could want and good bathrooms, and you can open your window and smell the mountain flowers and herbs. The people who run the place couldn’t have been nicer, nothing was too much trouble. There's a restaurant too, "Angelo" of A&A does all the cooking and the food was excellent, and the homemade mirto liqueur was hard to resist. There were some nice walks nearby on tracks through the mountains. The beaches down on the coast were really lovely, we really liked Capricciolo and also Santa Teresa which is a bit further north, looking across to Corsica.
Would definitely recommend Angelo & Arcangela if you want to experience a bit of the “real Sardinia” beyond the big resorts on the coast.

We had a lovely few days at Angelo & Arcangela in the mountains just outside Olbia. It's a restaurant that does B&B as well, the food is terrific and the couple that run it are very friendly and welcoming.

Rooms at Angelo & Arcangela are simple clean and comfortable, with Sardinian furnishings and fantastic views out across the mountains and down to Olbia. The garden is nice, there's a pool and a terrace where you can have breakfast. It's a really peaceful spot out in the countryside, but it's easy enough to get to the coast, the Costa Smeralda isn't far, or down into Olbia where there are a few nice shops.
You definitely need a hire car to get about though.

We ate at their sons' restaurant too, it's in a pretty little village nearby called Sant Antonio di Gallura, food good there too,it's called La Pitraia.
