It was our nicest holiday in the last years. It is a little paradise! Fabienne and Alain are very warm-hearted and familiar people. We are lucky to know them. Everything on the farm is very peaceful and all the animals live very lucky and natural on this place. From the first day we felled homelike. The area around the farm and the view is really wonderful. To be on this place together with Fabienne, Alain and the animals is really something special what is not very often to find. It is also a pleasure to eat with them - they cook excellent. The bread, the marmalade, the goat cheese is all homemade and very delicious. The room was very charming and clean and the service was excellent. We will keep them all in our heart and we will come back. Thank you for this wonderful time.

“Fantastic place”
Reviewed September 3, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We had a fantastic time with Fabienne and Alain and all the animals around. Breakfast and Dinner were always delicious and made with love. Our children still remember the warm and funny athmosphere. The house is very near from Olbia and you can make a lot of different trips to the coast of Sardegna (about 30 min with the car).

With a sense for nature and spontaneous activities You can have many little adventures at the place, such as climbing nearby little mountains with caves, learning about plants and fruits, or having the goats spilling their fresh milk right in Your mouth.

Absolutely recommended!

We were delighted with our stay. The location is remote, it is some way off the main transit routes and it's seclusion is it's unique point.
Our hosts, Alain and Fabienne were so welcoming and genuine, their warmth and generosity was wonderful.
We found the two dogs, the horse, the geese, the hens, the goats and the cats were wonderful additions. We were privileged to be taught to milk goats then guided in a hill walk one morning.
Our breakfasts were lovely, Alain is a superb baker and we enjoyed dinner of a rustic barbecue one evening.
One of the best breaks we've had.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed July 18, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We spent an idyllic 6 nights with Fabienne and Alain, the perfect hosts. Fantastic food and spectacular surroundings in this lovely rustic accommodation. Our 3 year old loved the animals on the farm and we were looked after and made to feel very welcome during our stay. It was more like staying with friends and we thank you both for a wonderful stay which we will treasure forever.

Staying at Montilongu was a wonderful experience in every sense of the word. The location is beautiful - you wake up surrounded by mountains and there is nothing to spoil the view. The room was clean and pleasant, complimented by Alain's lovely rustic furniture and a really comfortable bed. The food was superb - the fresh produce from their garden and animals makes eating a real treat. We also had the pleasure of having dinner with our hosts twice - it is an absolute must. The food was delicious and abundant, and we were often accompanied by their two dogs, the horse, the cats and the geese.
Overall it was a perfect stay and we will always have fond memories of it. Thank you Alain and Fabienne for making us feel at home!
Just one piece of advice - when you drive there for the first time, make sure you got the directions written on the website, as the GPS was completely useless in those (and most) parts of Sardinia.
Otherwise, don't hesitate to choose Stazzu La Capretta for your holiday!

“off the beaten path”
Reviewed August 24, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

It takes a little while to get there but is worth the effort. Fabienne, Alain and Sacha have two really nice rooms in the country side with plenty of animals about, wonderful food and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Both rooms are in a converted outbuilding, the main room looks out over Sardinian mountains (what a sight to see in the morning), and the second room has an old (now unused) oven. Both are very comfortable and much better than we expected. Breakfasts are a delight with interesting dishes made mostly from their garden (Alain tried out a jam made with peas while we were there and it was my favorite). if you visit, you must have at least one dinner - they are great cooks. The location makes it easy to get to most of northern Sardinia. Our only regret was that they had exhausted their supply of olive oil from their small grove. It is not a plush hotel but is great fun tor those who's taste runs to the rustic.

A big thank you to Alain and Fabienne for a wonderful week at La Capretta. You were such warm and generous hosts who welcomed us into your large farm family.
Our room and bed were very comfortable with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
Where do I begin to record all the things we enjoyed about our stay? Perhaps a list will save some room on your website!
*Meeting Sacha
*The delicious food
*Walking with the goats
*My cookery lesson with you both.( Recorded on my I pad, and loved by my family and friends).
*Walking in the mountains with the dogs.
*Playing Boules. (Wales 1 - France 2).
*The ceramics that now have pride of place in our home.
*The peace and tranquillity.
*Walking in the mountains with the dogs.

But above all, the opportunity to spend time with such a warm-hearted and generous couple. We will treasure our time at the farm and hope to return someday.
We wish you well for the future and the success of La Capretta.

To anyone reading these reviews and considering whether to stay at the farm I can only say, 'go and immerse yourself into the life of the farm'

To Alain and Fabien - Molte grazie
Diolch yn fawr iawn xx
