We spent 3 nights in August 2012. The room was quite big and clean, with a nice bathroom. The bed was ok, not really great, with 2 mattresses put together, which I always dislike. There is no decoration, the room is very simple inside. Overall, the room is a good one.

This is a massive hotel, that's what we didn't like. Too many people and they are not prepared for it. Breakfast, especially, was the worst part. It is a "war zone". Hundreds of people in the same place, food was very basic, waiters not polite. The juice was an artificial one. Fruits would finish and not be replenished. It was really unpleasant.

The swimming pool is ok, very large, but it was hard to find a place to sit. It was always crowded, with no availability of chairs. The internet stopped working for almost 2 days. And the hotel is far from the beach, but it was not a problem for us cause we had a car. The SPA looked really nice, but we didn't use it.The gym was excellent!

Other than breakfast, there is nothing really wrong. It is a big hotel, a little worn-down, but fine other than that. It just didn't work for us.

I didn't like the breakfast, in 8 days it was allways the same, the cakes where already made, not fresh baked... If i go again to Sardegna i would choose Alghero to stay.
First my room was outside the main building, near the power generator, was terrible, noise all night long.

Having been to Sardinia before (Alghero) there was such a good offer available at the Geovillage that I just had to come back at the beginning of October 2012. We had booked and paid for 2 double rooms (although there were only 3 of us travelling) next door to each other or opposite each other. On arrival to the hotel we were allocated 1 double and 1 single but in 2 different blocks of the hotel....having complained to Reception, the young girl working was very helpful but as they were full with a conference there wasn't much she could do until the following day. However, for my single room, she upgraded me to a Garden Villa for the night. On walking into this room the smell of mould and damp was appalling, however it was now nearly midnight so I didn't want to change rooms for a 2nd time if I was moving the following day anyway. On closer inspection, inside the wardrobe was absolutely disgusting and smelt revolting - it was apparent that this room had not been in use for months. The following day we were moved to rooms next to each other in the main hotel.... the view was of nothing and were the furthest away from reception, the restaurant and all the facilities, but they were pleasant enough.
Onto the food..... breakfast was ok, a good choice but as the week went on the lovely fresh fruit wasn't replenished and you were left with bruised apples, manky pears and not a lot else. Initially there was some fresh fruit juice each morning but again, as the week went on this seem to just disappear. By day 4 there was no fried eggs, no omlette station and staff couldn't care less..... I waited for 15 minutes for a member of staff to bring me a teaspoon to be able to eat a yoghurt. However, if I was Italian or Russian I am pretty sure I would have got served so much quicker !
Dinner..... more like slop on a plate. What a total and utter disappointment, you pay for half board and you're served up cold veg and cold side dishes to go with bland and flavourless pasta or very bony fish. For the first 3 nights we ate in the large buffet restaurant in the main hotel but for the final 4 nights as there were less guests we were all moved to the pizza restaurant. Have never seen anything so funny, Italians barging past you in the queue to pile their plates up high with dessert first then going back to get their starters and main courses.
Facilities .... if you like your sports then this hotel is the place for you (providing you don't require healthy wholesome food), great selection of things to do, but avoid the outdoor sports swimming pool, was full of algae and smelt disgusting - obviously not been in use all year. The outdoor leisure pool was lovely though (albeit the water being rather cold). As a hotel guest you are entitled to use the spa free of charge once per stay and I have to say make sure you do this..... it is stunning (although when I was there the Sauna wasn't working) and very relaxing.
Bars... the outdoor leisure pool bar and restaurant weren't open which meant you had to take your own drinks and food down to the pool with you, which in itself is an issue as there are not shops nearby to buy any snacks - not good if you don't have a car. The main hotel bar doesn't open until 10pm but seeing as there is nothing to do after dinner most people go to bed as there is no where that nice to sit and relax. There is a coffee lounge by the pizza restaurant which is ok but gets very boring night after night and not great if like me you're a non smoker.
Location..... you would never guess the hotel is in the middle of an industrial site, it's very quiet and peaceful and from some angles you can see a lovely view of the hills. Olbia itself is a typical port town - unattractive, run down and very little there.
Customer Service..... apart from the girl on Reception the first night we were there (who incidently sorted our rooms out and then was never seen again so i hope she didn't get into trouble) and our maids, ALL staff were rude, unhelpful, arrogant and shouldn't be working in the hospitality industry
Would I go again..... no chance. Even if I won a free holiday there I wouldn't go.

Room Tip: Request a room near to Reception otherwise you'll have a very long walk to reach anywhere - howe...

We recently spent the first night of our trip here, at the end of October. We thought we had got a great deal on suite (99 Euro). In the photos the suite is shown as a warm, welcoming room, with rugs and flowers in the vase, as most suites are. In reality it was a bare room, with no rugs and no flowers. It was a very functional room, being suitable only for sleeping. We were very disappointed as we have two small children and were looking forward to relaxing in the room after a long journey.
It seemed as if the management didn't particularly care about the hotel as it was out of season - the carpets in the lift and the halls were very grubby and I doubt if they had been vacuumed for some time.
Our room was clean though,so no complaints there.
Breakfast was ok, but not the kind of breakfast you would expect from what is meant to be such an exclusive hotel. It was all self service, with waiting staff clearing the tables. As we entered the breakfast room we were not greeted and the waiter walked straight past us. Apparently we were supposed to guess that it was free seating.
I asked the waiter if I could please have a cappuccino made by the machine (I had seen him take one to another guest), but was told I should use the jug of coffee and jug of warm milk over on the self service table instead. This was not cappuccino, just milky coffee!

On the up side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, I would definitely not waste my money by going back, even if it was a cheap deal. In fact, even if it was free.

We have just arrived back from a 7 night stay @ this hotel where we had booked 2 adjoining double rooms with balconies. On arrival were allocated 1 double (with balcony) and 1 single without a balcony in different buildings. The young lady on reception was very helpful and told us that she would be able to correct this the following afternoon, which to her credit, she did and we had 2 adjoining rooms with balconies albeit they were at the furthest point away from the facilities within the hotel and received virtually no sun apart from the earliest part of the day.
I reported to staff that we were sharing our room with the local ant population which by the end of our stay had reduced and the lights which did not work were repaired on the day before our departure. As we had booked half board we ate in the hotel for breakfast and evening meal, which in the case of breakfast was alright, a good selection of cold meats, cereals, fruit, etc but as it is a buffet you tend to get pushed out the way by other guests who don't believe in waiting their turn. The evening meal was absolutely appalling, once again a buffet, all cold and a free for all but after 3 nights they closed the buffet restaurant and moved to the pizzaria where it was a buffet for the starter and dessert courses and waiter service for the main course, still all cold.
The complex is set in an industrial estate but you would never guess that, it is surrounded by very well kept gardens and a vast array of sporting facilities. The leisure pool is vast and has a bar and snack bar neither of which were open during our stay despite the large number of people using this facility. The spa was extremely enjoyable and guests get one session foc during a 7 day stay.

Many positives... great gym and spa and very good bedroom...and for a sports club/serious trainer/athlete the facilities are first class (swimming pool tennis courts etc). But, poor location. The Hotel is too far out of town ( and the taxi from airport = E25, but either a No.2 or 10 bus - changing to a No. 11 to the hotel = E1.50 ). The hotel is in an industrial estate and it is not possible to walk into Olbia. So for an evening meal one 'has to' eat on the complex. The Buffet is a free for all with a good selection but cold. The lighting is over-powering. It is a canteen, which for breakfast was OK (as was the food) but in the evening poor. The a la carte restaurant charged us E48 for a single fish, but otherwise was OK. We used the gym twice (no water or towels) and the Spa once. Both were free and well equipped.

One evening our tap water in the room ran brown, dark brown. In fact all the rooms location in our block had the same problem, but the staff seemed unconcerned. It took 12 hours to put right - no compensation.

The leisure pool was fine, the bar staff helpful. It was a quiet, three day break, spolied only by the evening meal and the water issue. We would return recognising the problems of location and poor evening dining...and knowing that the No. 11 bus gets one into town and then to the airport.

Room Tip: difficult to. There are many blocks spread across the site.
