My partner and I visited one night in mid October and were greeted graciously by Sabastiano and his son. Even as I remember pulling up to the Agriturismo, I can recall the sense of serenity that came over us. The dinner was incredible and we loved eating with Sabastiano, himself, in addition to any other guests. Our outstanding meal there is the first thing we talk about to friends when they ask about our 3 weeks in Italy/Sardinia.

October is definitely a different pace from the busy summer that I gleam from other reviews, but nonetheless spectacular! Oh and it is the perfect jumping off point to explore the Barbagia and especially Orgosolo (another favorite of our trip).

We stayed for one night and had an excellent experience! The dinner was not to be missed. Eating qith the owner was very nice, though he doesn't speak english, but qith some words in italian and some words in english, we had a great conversation! The food was awsome, everything was homemade, cheeses, sausages, vegetables from the garden, and plentiful!
We had a wonderful night of sleep.

It's not easy to find the agriturismo Testone. But once you're there, you're rewarded!

We were sceptic with only positive review for the agriturismo, but we also have to put a five!

Secluded, quiet (except for the sound of cow and sheep bells that bid you good night and greet you again in the morning) and located in one of the most stunning areas of Sardinia. The food was amazing and the owner and his family were incredibly kind.

We arrived early and hungry after driving across the island to reach the agriturismo. Though it is not served, the owner's son Mateo was kind enough to provide us lunch and wine upon our arrival (we won't make this mistake again, but were so very grateful for the hospitality) and we watched as he and his mother made ravioli to be served at dinner that night.

The farm is very large and we spent the afternoon hiking and standing in awe of the beautiful setting. Wait until the stars are out!

The room itself was large and comfortable. Very clean.

One night was not nearly enough. We will be back!

This beautiful property, about 20 minutes into the steeps northeast of Nuoro, was the highlight of a seven-day trip to Sardegna in a landscape that easily ranks with my favorite spots on the planet. The surrounding hills and cork forests are wonderful for walking and rock scrambling, and there are excellent roads for biking if you bring your wheels. The owner does not speak English but he is incredibly patient with those who are willing to try Italian; he also keeps a shelf of language dictionaries on hand for use in a pinch. The food was uniformly fantastic and authentic to the region; don't miss the house-made grappas, cheeses, and cured meats—the best I've had during more than a year living in Italy. I'd also highly recommend a day trip to the sacred Nuraghic well at Su Tempiesu; you'll find signs leading you to it from nearby Orune.

We read the recommendation in a highly renowned food guide and it did not disappoint. We were there in off-season April and thus the only guests. The very friendly owner sat with us every evening, having dinner with us while he cooked excellent food that set standards for the rest or our trip (both in quality and amount). If you want organic, typical food, this is the place to go.

The farmyard is set in an amazing landscape and you can do tours for hours without even leaving the estate.
