I rarely leave reviews but this hotel went above what was expected in every way and I can not recommend it enough. Well located, nicely furnished with well appointed rooms and perfect air conditioning in a week that was the hottest July in Sardinia for 150 years! But best of all the staff. Friendly, helpful and genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay and would do everything they could to facilitated this.

Great location! Lovely hotel!
Had great stay of 3 nights at the Hotel Italia. It was centrally located to all sites and transportation. The room was spacious and clean
with an amazing shower and roomy bathroom. Everyone was helpful. Wi fI in rooms goes in and out only small problem. The hotel also has a lovely wine bar.
Great for an afternoon or evening drink.

Hotel Italia is well placed in the centre of Cagliari, with lots of shops, restaurants, bars and interesting places within walking distance. It is only a 6 minute walk to the Cagliari station.
Rooms were clean and breakfast was good. Personnel was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed for ten nights at the Hotel Italia in a superior room at the back of the hotel (so quiet and not over the restaurants which stay open into the early hours).

Pros - very close to the railway and bus stations and the Marina, and easy to walk into Castello, Stampace or Villanova quarters of the city. Reasonable continental breakfast (cereal, yoghurt, fruit, pastries, ham and cheese, cakes) with hot tea or coffee available. Fresh towels provided in the hotel room daily. Shower, hairdryer, safe, TV provided in room. Nice dark rooms because of shutters and blackout curtains. Aircon provided and can be switched off on request. Lots of storage for clothes (roomy wardrobe with drawers). Complimentary toiletries (shampoo, shower gel and cap, soap). Good wifi in room (although a different code each day has to be requested, it is free with a superior room).

Cons - no tea/coffee making facilities in room, only a minibar (which had no prices but which is OK, e.g. 1.50 euro for a can of Fanta). Bedsheets not changed daily, which in a hot country is not a plus. No English language TV so if you don't like sport you will need to find other entertainment. Hotel receptionists don't all speak English (but most do).

All in all a pleasant place to stay for an extended period of time especially if you like to be left alone - but if you are looking for something more touristy you might want to look elsewhere.

Room tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel, not the front.

Hotel Intalia is in compliance with most of the hotels of big city. On the other hand, in the center of Cagliari. Some difficulties of car park to be noted. Air-conditioned and free wifi. A bit expensive.
