When we visited in February we had no idea that the hotel will be like this. An amazing host, very friendly and welcoming. It was such a nice surprise when we arrived. I will definitely be back in warmer time to go to the beach. The rooms are really big and nice. The breakfast was lovely with lots of homemade cookies. She let us stay till our bus on late evening and brought us home made cake again while waiting. I would recommend it for sure. Thanks Sabrina!!

We would thank Sabrina and her first-class team (Pupa and Carmen) for the warm welcome! They are doing the impossible to make you feel good! The rooms of a modern and tasteful design (by Sabrina, of course!!) are well equiped and you can profit from a small kitchen shared by all the visitors! For the copious breakfast we were happy to profit from the wonderful roof-terrace of this majestic building of the 'via Roma' with a breathtaking panorama of the port and a part of the old town of Cagliari! For the future visitors: Sabrina has still a lot of projects to surprise you! Be curious!!!

A family-runned B&B which is actually more like staying at somebody's house.
4 thoroughly designed rooms that offer one of the best qualities I have experienced in hotels. Not only is it very exclusive in both feeling (4 m ceiling, matching towels, comfortabel beds), sevice and location (via Roma i sbasically the main road in Cagliari andd runs along the Marina), but it also has a personal touch. If you are travelling in a group this is the perfect place to stay. Small and intimate with a common kitchen where you can have lighter meals (no cooking) and a beautiful terrace which can be used during the morning. If I ever return to Cagliari this is definately where I would stay again!

My husband and I stayed at Marina di Castello on our way back from a stay in Sant Antioco. We took our time driving to Cagliari down the coast, but wish we hadn’t. We ran out of time.

Cagliari, and this hotel, are absolutely top-notch.

The B&B is located on the street right across from the port, in an old arcade-style building from about 1900. A few flights up (there is a skinny elevator), we encountered our wonderful host Sabrina, who welcomed us into her sala.

Sabrina’s family has turned what was an absolutely giant family flat into a family apartment and spacious B&B. The sala, which is technically part of her private apartment but which was open most of the time, has majestic views of the port. The room is filled with period antique furniture, yet with a warm, welcoming feel.

Down the hall were the B&B rooms, all recently renovated in modern styling, with a large, comfortable bed, and a spacious bathroom. There was also a breakfast room with a view (we left too early to have breakfast; she gave us a coupon for a nearby bar). Everything was clean, quiet, and really perfect.

Sabrina gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation—Il Corallo, I believe—and did everything she could to make our stay pleasant.

We only wish we’d had more time to enjoy both the B&B and the beautiful city of Cagliari.

Really a wonderful place.
Nicely decorated rooms.
Surprisingly quiet and calm (Cagliari is noisy but this B&B is very quiet).
Very good beds and bathroom.
Sabrina is very helpful and kind.
A kitchenette is even available for guests.
Free Wi-Fi access (but not in the rooms)
Breakfast are vouchers but are really good and only 20 meters from the B&B.

At the time we were there, the terrace was in construction but seems very promising.

If you look a quiet and charming place, this is it.

We're looking forward to go back to this B&B (and enjoy the finished terrace).

My husband and I made a last minute change to our plans and decided to stay in the Marina di Castello B&B Hotel for our 3 day stay in Cagliari, instead of the modern 4* hotel we had originally planned. It was certainly the right choice. Everything from the welcome email from our charming and knowledgeable hostess, Sabrina, to reserving us a taxi for the short trip to the airport was a joy. Loved the room, the location, being able to use the small kitchen adjacent to our lovely room for our breakfast and making drinks/snacks. Sabrina's restaurant and sight seeing recommendations were 'spot on' and would recommend this place unreservedly.

I have just come back from Cagliari after a brief stay in that Mediterranean town. Marina di Castello has been the turning point in my trip, as I have been extremely well attended by Sabrina, the owner, who is charming and who will help you with all you need, both ideas and attentions to your stay. The house she owns is just perfect, with extremely well-decorated rooms and an extremely fantastic attic terrace from which you can see the sea and the port. There is where she will serve breakfast from April 2011 onwards, so no doubt this great place -plus a centric location- makes this B&B the best in town. She even has a small kitchennette where you can make your own coffee or tea. All rooms are perfectly equipped, with air-conditioner included and it makes a great difference to the city being able to sleep in a house which is beautifully decorated and centrally located. Do not doubt it, Marina di Castello is the best!
