Myself and my wife have just returned to Ireland having spent 8 nights in this wonderful little hotel. It had everything we needed: a nice air conditioned room with a balcony (very quiet); lazy continental breakfasts (with the most wonderful cappuccinos); one minute walk to the bus stops (twenty mins from airport and 5 mins from the Old Town, all for €1.50); three minute walk to the beach (a little reduction for sunbeds and umbrellas for residents). Bars, supermarkets, and restaurants, all nearby. What else does one need?
And to cap it all, a most wonderful host in Giancarlo (and his nephew, Piermario. Always attentive, and extremely helpful. (Don't be afraid to ask for anything!).
We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We will definitely be back!

Room tip: If you like your cup of tea, it is worthwhile bringing a little travel kettle. There is a fridge in each room

Great location (right across the road from the beach and only a 15-20 minute to the old town, and right around the corner from 2 large supermarkets), lovely room with good facilities - good quiet AC, a fridge, safe, hair dryer, digital tv. Breakfast amazing - the right way to start a day - warm pastries, yoghurt, cereal, bread, juice etc and the delicious coffee.
The generosity and hospitality of its owners, so friendly and eager to help with whatever you need.
Walk to old town along the promenade was a delight especially on the sunset.

Room tip: 12 amazing rooms, best tip is the price and availability

Me and my partner have just arrived back from a one week stay at Hotel Alguer and we had a lovely time. The family that run it (Giancarlo, Francesco, Piermario and Rosalba) are so friendly and approachable, nothing is too much trouble for them. We weren't sure whether to hire a car but with their help we were able to find the best coaches/buses to visit the sites instead. The continental breakfast served each morning is also delicious.
The rooms are bright and spacious and have all of the essentials (free wifi!). There was even a mini bottle of sparkling wine with two champagne flutes for us upon arrival - a very nice touch.
A two minute walk from the beach, the hotel is in an excellent location. It's just a 15 minute walk along the promenade to the old town, which at night time is full of people and is the perfect place to see the sunset. A tip - take a trip to the Spiaggia Di Maria Pia, a beach about 10 mins up the road from the hotel. It's the nicest beach in Alghero.

All in all a friendly, clean, relaxing hotel that is a stones through away from the beach and a perfect base from which to visit Alghero's Centro Storico.

Excellent Hotel, with very friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble (even the little touches like lending you plug converters if you forget to bring them or an umbrella for the beach). Rooms are spacious and comfortable, including the bed! Decent continental breakfast ( the croissants are fab!) immaculatley clean. No more than 3 minutes from the beach and a 10 minute walk into town for some fab restaurants. Would deffo recommend.
