“Best beach in the area!”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

We visited all beaches around Alghero, but this one was by far the best. Water was really clean and refreshing! There was a really good bistro above the beach, with good coffee and really good tuna salad.

“Not the best beach in the world...”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

This was given in the guide books as one of the best beaches in the area, I can only assume that's because its one of only 2 official 'beaches' we could find on that corner of coast, it was our hotel's beach, so we did go and sit on there a few times during our stay but it was just nothing special, and because it's a very small stretch of beach even when there were only a few people on it it felt kind of crowded...

“A beach worth knowing about.”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Like almost any beach in Sardinia, this is a beautiful place. The day we went, at the beginning of September, there were only a few other people around as it was quite a stormy day and pretty cool for the time of year. Nevertheless, we had a lovely walk and enjoyed the beautiful water and dramatic sky. I imagine it gets packed in high season, but it's just a short drive out of Alghero if you wanted a change from the town, and would be really handy to spend your last day on the beach if you have a later flight, as it's only a short drive away from the airport.

“Return to Le Bombarde”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

We found this beach last year and had to return again. We holidayed in late September when there are few holiday markers around. The beach still has enough activity to provide some "action". Like many beaches in Sardinia the water is wonderful. I remember lying here, drifting away listening to J J Cale coming from one of the beach bars - ah the memories.

The beach is mostly south facing which I think is the best for sunbathing.

Drive north from Alghero, cross the bridge at Fertillia, and carry straight on through the traffic lights, then look for the signs to the beach on the left hand side.

Judging from the large carpark, this beach is very popular in the height of the season but in September/October it is a delight.

“Beautiful, but beware of sharp rocks”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

Nice beach with beautiful water. Quite windy at times so the waves are higher here than in Alghero. There are some sharp rocks at places in the water so watch out for those.
