the staff here , especially who seemed to be the manager, are all very friendly, helpful nice people.
We ordered a lovely starter that was a mixed platter for two...very well presented and loaded with different meats, cheeses, etc...But the main course was a disappointment...very bland, tasteless food...Maybe it was just an off day, but I wasn't impressed with the ravioli main course at all.

I wanted to like this restaurant, but the menu was very small & standard, and all three courses were bland. My potato & mint ravioli were also cold in the middle.I don't understand the hype on tripadvisor.

This is a very special restaurant. We had a wonderful night, ordered artichoke lasagne and suckling pig and they didn't disappoint. Beautiful red wine for €4 a litre! Two course meal for two with wine and coffee came to €28.

We saw this restaurant on TripAdvisor and found its recommendations spot on. We walked to restaurant from our hotel (La Margherita) and made a reservation for same night--at their earliest time (8pm). We have found that we seem to miss a mid-day meal and are starving or so it feels at 7pm.

Anyway, we loved thefood and ambiance. The waitress, owner and cook were visable in the kitchen and worked well together. Ordering was fun, the waitress helpful and food came out at just the right time. We each had 2 anit-pasta (lavosh fried, pecorina cheese, lardo, and salami), 2 pasta first courses and then shared the suckling pig second course. We also drank a carafe of red wine between the two of us. Probably we had more than what was needed, but we loved it all (Lardo, okay, not my thing....but everything else was). We finished with the local after-dinner drink and espressos and it all came to 40 Euros before tipping.

We talked to our Italian tableneighbors who enjoyed the exchange. Wish we had started this earlier, but it was fun. We also felt a little superior as many people came in but the place was fully booked.

Definitely recommend going and also making reservations ahead of time if possible.

We were a mixed British/Luxembourgish/Italian party of four adults and four children (aged 7 to 12), and felt that only the older half of the group was really welcome... of the two ladies front-of-house, one was charming and motherly, the other seemed to have been sucking bitter lemons all day. Her thinly-disguised irritation by the children (who were by no means disruptive or noisy; they just don't do two-hour sitdowns very well) spoilt the evening a little. However, to be positive: the food was very good indeed, the house wine (there is no wine list) a drinkable Cannonau, and our Algherese friends, with whom we shared every dish, assured us that this was authentic Sardinian cooking. Indeed, the porcheddu (suckling pig), which we have tried all over the island, was probably the best we've ever had.
The final bill represented remarkable value for money.
And hey, maybe the vinegar-faced one was just having a bad day...
