This was one of the best choices I made on my trip to Sardinia for my wedding. We took our entire group here for a fun excursion after the wedding and before the huge Sardinian feast back at Villa Las Tronas. Don't miss this if you're in Alghero. Not only is the property stunningly beautiful, but Ana Maria gives one of the best tours I've ever been on. A majority of our group is from Los Angeles, California, and all of us have traveled extensively up in Napa and Sonoma visiting many well-known wineries. We all agreed that Ana Maria's tour was the best we've ever experienced. Not only was she knowledgable about the wine and olive oil, but her passion about Alghero and Sardinia really showed through. We will definitely be back but to stay as resort guests!

This is a "must do" when visiting Alghero! The host AnnaMaria together with the experience of her wonderful estate and the tasting of her wines made this a remarkable memory!

Thank you!

Just a fantastic experience. Visit of the vineyards and olive trees and then followed by a wine tasting... would highly recommend it.

My Girlfriend and I spent 7 Days in Alghero and this was one of the last things we did. Even though we are not big wine drinkers, we have to say we enjoyed it regardless. The trip around the vineyard, tasting the grapes and the wine/cheese tasting were all very informative and enjoyable.

The host AnnaMaria was very nice and friendly and gave an equal amount of attention to all of the guests.
She hosted a tasting of her wines and they were all great and really made you think of wines you buy in a supermarket and what you are actually drinking. We bought a bottle of her wine for €10.00 and a bottle of her olive oil for €8.00 and we would of bought more if we could take it on the plane.

AND.......Thet were 6 people on our tour,3 couples. We were 1 of the couples, the 2nd were from Denmark and the last were from America, specifically from Hollywood. It was the actor Stanley Tucci (you will know his face, if not his name) and they just interacted with all the wine tasting and the other couples like a regular visitor. So our expierence was great, all the people were very friendly and the host was excellent.

My girlfriend and I were looking for somewhere to stay on our short trip to Alghero, we wanted somewhere that would be 'away from it all' somewhere quiet and somewhere we could truly relax and enjoy ourselves. We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle you get at resorts. Coming on tripadvisor to find things to do while we were there I came across this place, a quick visit to the website showed me they don’t only do tastings, but have rooms also.

I am so glad we booked in to stay here, right from the off Annamaria was extremely friendly and accommodating even before we’d arrived. Upon arrival we were shown to our room, a huge spacious room with views over the private swimming pool and immaculately kept garden…and a chilled bottle of wine produced in the on site vineyard to welcome us to our holiday.

The place is beautiful, the fact it only has 5 rooms means to need to book well in advance of course, but it means that you’re not fighting for space at the pool, during our stay we barely had to share the pool at all. The morning breakfast was a real feast, fresh fruit, fresh home baked cakes, and eggs and home baked breads made to your order, a by such a friendly host.

Annamaria knows the area, telling us the best beaches and what restaurants were the best to go to, ones she goes to, and being a local she knows the best places. The first restaurant we went to was a true Sardinian restaurant, as set menu but with such amazing spread of food, thank you for the recommendation. She also rang ahead for us to book the table and sort it all of us. On the last night we wanted somewhere special and again she pointed us to a beautiful restaurant right on the harbour side, amazing dinner with the sun setting into the sea a great recommendation.

One of the nights we decided to go on the vineyard tour with some of the other guests staying at the place and a handful staying elsewhere. It was a very informative tour not only explaining the different varieties and the history of the place but then a taste of each of the wines (a generous taste at that) by a woman who clearly is very passionate about the wines. Because we were staying at the vineyard after the tasting session we then bought some more wine and sat outside to enjoy the sounds of the evening and the company of the other guests, Annamaria, without request, promptly brought out plates of nibbles and home made breads for us to enjoy, a very kind and thoughtful gesture.

All in all I would (and have already) recommend it to anyone. But don’t just go there for the vineyard tour, stay in one of the most relaxing and friendly places I’ve ever stayed. A true gem! Don’t be put off by the proximity to the airport, I was worried all we would hear is planes, but the airport is so scarcely used that you only have about 3 planes taking off a day, certainly not something you even really notice. If you want a relaxing, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and a host that knows how to put the personal touch on your stay, visit and stay at Azienda Agricola Leda' d'Ittiri.
