Been there 3 times in 5 days. The only change over the years is the increasing number of tourists. It's not only for locals anymore. Good for business, even if the place is always full anyway, the thing is that according to the reviews not all foreigners like it, the reason, in my opinion, is that they do not know how to order, without a "turistic set menu" they don't know what goes with what. I've seen ordering pizza, followed by spaghetti, followed by a large dish of chips, all washed down with a few Coke Zero!!
It makes the locals cringe.
Others complain about the lack of "contorni" (side dishes) ,,, if you don't order them you don't get them.
I've even read complaints about their pizza, definitely the best in Alghero and one of the best ever!
We consider this place the best compromise between food/service and price in Alghero, it has been run by the present owner for 40 years and is probably the oldest restaurant in town... it will survive the tourist's reviews!!
