Description: The Movida is located on the enchanting ancient ramparts of Alghero overlooking the harbor. The cuisine is genuine and based on fish dishes typical of the area, prices are fair (Cover and Service free) and the atmosphere is good.

Lovely views and fantastic food but you do have to ask the waiters for service. May have just been a busy night. Definitely worth a visit. Would be great at sunset.

The only good thing about this restaurant was its fantastic location with its lovely views over the harbour, however they seem to think this makes up for simply not caring about anything else. The service was poor and the quality and / or presentation of the food was simply awful. I had a tomato, mozzarella and basil salad to start, this consisted of a sliced tomato, a lump of mozzarella cut into four chunks and one pathetic basil leaf. We ordered a mixed salad to arrive with our main course, it came with the starter and tasted like it had been it ting around all day. my main was a lasagne which could have been really tasty, unfortunately it was served lukewarm, yuk. To top it all off, an elderly local woman sitting at the next table stared at us throughout the whole meal. Avoid this restaurant, there are many more much, much better ones to choose from.

Cara Janis

We were astonished to find delicious food and individually recommended wine in a restaurant like this. The site is extraordinary and romantic, but you don't expect quality like this where lots of tourists walk by and pizza restaurants are standard. We enjoyed every minute.

Very nice restaurant located on the ancient city walls facing the port with one of the best view I have experienced in Alghero. Great local food, specialised in fish. All products are coming from the region and are freshed served. We had the possibility of trying among a range of wines from both big and small producers all of them from Sardinia. In few words, if you want to experience tastes and flavours of Mediterranean island I would recommend Spaghetti all'Algherese, Agliata, Risotto alla Pescatora.

On ferragosto, me and my wife ate at Movida, which is perfectly located on the wall of the old town, with nice views. The restaurant had sufficient waitors to deal with the busy night and were available whenever you needed them. We had starters, primi and also ordered secundi. After we had our delicious starter and primi (pasta nere, with seafood), we had to wait quite long for our secundi. After asking Luca, our waitor, checked and got back to us that unfortunately something went wrong. As we waited quite long, i asked if we could cancel the order and instead go for dessert. This was no problem, and Luca came back to offer us dessert, because of the long wait. We were pleasantly surprised as this normally doesnt happen in Europe. After devouring the tiramisu and crema di catalugna, we tried to pay by card, but for some reason their equipment didnt work, hence they offered us to pay at the hotel later or pay another day. So all in all a fantastic experience!
