“lovely hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

The Baroni Nuovi is a peaceful and friendly hotel, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The garden and pool area is welcoming to children but big enough to offer quiet spots for couples and adults as well. Our room was fabulous, a suite of rooms with a rooftop garden, and much bigger than we were expecting. It was beautifully clean, quiet and comfortable. The restaurant is also very pleasant with a nice outside eating area and well prepared food.

We would recommend this hotel but may not return ourselves as the surrounding area was a little disappointing.

We only spent a couple of nights a bit out of season at Easter time here but wish we could have had more.
The Messaria, or country house, is a working farm and as such is outside of town amongst fields and olive groves. There is a swimming pool but we didnt sample it as we were out of the seasonand space for children to play.
The rooms were rustic and simple, pretty clean and set round a beautiful courtyard.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful - a special mention to the young nephew Andrea who enjoyed practising his English with us, he was very charming and helpful.
When we arrived the place was full of local Italian families there for lunch and we discovered why at dinner. It was wonderful! A set menu, but that made it very exciting for us,and everything was delicious. Most of the produce was I think very local, if not from the farm itself and there own wine was very good. Breakfast, similarly, was lovely, especially the home produced Clementine preserve.
Local beaches, ancient olives and Puglian towns are within easy reach and I long to return.

Beautiful environment, very relaxing atmosphere! After only two days left completely relaxed. Don't think this place is located in the city of brindisi, it's in the middle of nowhere with nothing but tjirping birds and two cats and a dog. The surrounding of the hotel is beautiful with olive trees, a great pool area, all very relaxing. Even being there in the off-season (early April) it was still lovely.

In our tour around Salento, to write a nice article aboyt this lovely region, we have decided to visit all those hotels or b&b rated number 1 on tripadvisor. This hotel was rated firs. I must say it isamazing what you get for the mone you spend, bu location? Why Brindisi if it is not in Brindisi? And also why dont you try to keep the place a bit cleaner? We have been disappointed after being in the first rated b&b in Brindisi called Malvasia and we regret we have not tried the others like Borgo Natico, Zenthe or Federico secondo, but we must say we have been disappointed by this first rated hotel as well!

I booked this B&B on the strength of the reviews and was not disappointed. We were there in mid October, and therefore some of the services were not available. For example, evening meals were not catered for. However, once the 'old town' in Mesagne was discovered, eating well in the evenings was not a problem......and cheap !

Well located for touring, the Baroni Nuovi was a haven of piece in October, with the sun still shining, and the pool just about bearable ! All the staff were lovely, and the reception staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Simple rooms, but adequate. They would benefit from some tea/coffee making facilities, as phoning reception each time a coffee was wanted became a little off-putting. However, this was only a minor irritation.

Beware the mosquitoes !! We were unprepared in October...but the little blighters were very active.

I would return tomorrow....and recommend to best friends......but not too widely ! I want to keep this one mainly to myself ! Thanks to Rita for all the breakfasts and coffee !!

Excellent scenic location.ideal for exploring the many towns worth visiting in the area.Peaceful but not deadly quiet. The rooms simply furnished but beautiful. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The pool so refreshing and wonderful to watch the dragon flies. Breakfast was great but the evening meals were fantastic, so courteously served. I happened upon this hotel by chance, but will definitely return as soon as I have the opportunity.

The ideal location to spend a few days out of sight and out of mind.
The Masseria is close enough to Brindisi to allow day trips to the entire region. It is sufficeiently removed to let you come home at night, detach completely from the day's activity, and simply relax. There is really nothing to do. OK, they do have a nice swimming pool and impeccable gardens. And the service is always cheerful.
More than anything, the Masseria is a place to regain your calm and your senses.
