While Bari is a good sized city, lunch choices for tourists can be confusing. We passed up expensive restaurants filled with upper end business people as well as obvious tourist restaurants. The covered patio area was shady and cool. Swordfish carpaccio is a local delicacy and they do it well here with lovely olive oil and pink peppercorns. I went for a very local entree of white fish on ceci paste (chick pea paste) which was distinctive and delicious. While Primitivo wines imported to the US are usually sub-standard, the local Primitivo we had with lunch was so good we ordered another 2 glasses. From here you can walk out along the water back to the main streets.
