This hotel is quite adequate for your short stay in Bari. The ladies at the desk were extremely kind and helpful, @Adriana mapped out the city and and helped plan the activities I wanted to do. She made various phone calls for me. The air conditioning worked perfectly and was a relief to the 36+ heat wave. The breakfast buffet was fine. The room decor was just fine, the WiFi is free, and there is a working safe in the room.

It is very near to the old city. I had one small piece of luggage and found the walk from the train station very reasonable. I recommend you walk down via Sparano, there is a small park and lots of shops and lots of activity. It dead ends into the old city, so turn left on Corso Vittoria Emanuele II to arrive at the hotel.

I walked to the beach Pane e Pomadoro, but it's quite far. I would choose another location if you intend to spend a lot of time at the beach, or take the bus from this hotel.

Stayed end of May for 3 nights - no problems with the staff and the accommodation. Actually being in the main part of the city I guess the hotel does not have much options for renovation and yes it is a little outdated in the common areas but the rooms are ok - quite big, nice beds functional bathroom, and perfect wifi. No fridge, basic but enough furniture.

The staff is welcoming and Sr. Michele who serves breakfast makes the difference - you can only admire his enthusiasm and kindness.

Location of the hotel is its main plus - on the main street in Bari, 10 min to the old town, same to the harbour and not more than 15 min to the railway stations. You have as well a stop of a bus going to the airport right opposite the hotel, but the train is the better option.
