Reviewed June 2, 2013

The location was great for people watching and the food was pretty good. It was not over the top delicious but the whole experience was great.

“Unfeeling staff”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

I visited here not as a restaurant but a cafeteria. The stuff were so busy because it was Sunday and I waited for a so long time since I ordered cappuccino and tiramisu. It's OK, but I had an unpleasant feeling because they weren't so nice. It looked like many of them were in a glum mood. In my impression, people of other places was very friendly and nice in Vicenza except this cafe. There are lots of nice cafe in Vicenza so you may want to go other cafe if you want to have a cup of coffee in present place.

“First Floor Restaurant”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

This first floor restaurant above, and part off, cafe Garibaldi is in our opinion by very far the best restaurant in town. A very young twenty-something chef is creative and cooks with great respect for well chosen ingredients. Local cuisine with a touch of sophistication. Reasonably priced. Highly recomended.

“Non è possibile descrivere l'impressione che fà il Caffè Garibaldi in Piazza dei Signori nel cuore di Vicenza”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

I am back from a visit to Vicenza and was told by a friend to have lunch at Caffè Garibaldi. The setting is 100% world heritage standard. Had lunch (insalata di crostacei e frutti di mare followed by filetto di banzino alla veneziana and home-made sorbets like you do no find anywhere else in the world) on the terrace; sunny and delightful. Staff is impeccable, friendly and speaks english. The food is elegant and refined. Giovanni Ciresa (ex-Hotel Bauer on Canal Grande in Venezia) and his dream team that followed him when he left the Bauer. The wine list is a delight; no brands; just quality wines from some of the best boutique wineries of Italy, but with a good selection of Champagne as is appropriate here. I would make Caffè Garibaldi an absolute must on any tour of the Palladio trail in Vicenza. It is a treasure. Affordable luxury (at least for now).
