Piazza Bra is in a great location with the Arena in the centre and with the roads leading off to the stores.

The Piazza does get very busy and if looking for somewhere to eat and enjoy a relaxing drink, I'd recommend moving onto one of the Piazzas in Verona.

So lovely and lively Piazza. It was nice just to sit there and watch people. Cafes, restaurants, a beautiful fountain and ofcourse the Arena.

It's unlikely that you'll visit Verona without passing through Piazza Bra. It's a gloriously large square and home to the city's famous Arena.
It's a shorter-than-you-think walk from the train or bus stations to the piazza or you can hop on a bus (we even used the City Sightseer tourist bus "red line" to get back to the station at the end of our day).
There is a small but very helpful tourist information centre in one corner of the square and just up the street is where you can pick up local buses or the City Sightseeing Bus (red and blue lines).
There is a small, tree-lined space with benches spread around - perfect for people-watching and taking a packed lunch or snack break.
At the top of the square, you'll find a line of restaurants and cafes offering a typical range of food and drinks at varying prices. You'll pay a bit more here just for the prime location, and some of the service can be less welcoming than in other parts of the city, but it's an experience worth doing, even if just for a quick coffee and a pastry.
Oh, yes, and then there's the Arena. You can visit inside and look around (note: on the days of shows or events you may find restricted areas and the arena will close earlier in the day so it can get ready for the evening ... aim to visit before 2pm just to avoid disappointment).
And for shoppers, just follow the line of restaurants and head for the pedestrianised Via Giuseppe Mazzini and explore a mix of basic and high-end label shops on your way to Piazza Erbe and other attractions.

I love this town and I love this piazza. The people of Verona are warm but dignified and conservative and their town is clean and beautiful. The pink marble sidewalks are stunning! I spent 5 days here and would happily return again. The piazza is lovely at night!

Lovely bustling area around the arena, with a number or cafes, restaurants and small shops. A lovely area to eat, drink or just people watch.
