You can almost feel the atmosphere.Dominated by the Amphitheatre this is a glorious place to just walk around, especially when the Opera is on at night.Cafes on one side, major buildings hidden behind trees and fountain on another and there the Amphitheatre....third largest Roman structure in Italy...be impressed. Its wonderful.

Piazza Bra is a huge piazza, surrounded by some very old and famous buildings in Verona, the most famous being the Arena, where Gladiators used to fight, and nowadays concerts are performed. You can climb to the top of the stairs/seats and admire the stage, as well as the city, from a bird's view. Actors with garments from old times stand in the piazza,, and one can take pictures with them in funny poses.Wondering in the piazza is a very pleasant and interesting experience.

This is a great spot to orientate yourself to Verona. Grab something to eat and drink and sit on the benches or grass and spend some time here. It is busy but is lively and friendly and you have the backdrop of the Opera, the ancient Roman amphitheatre. There are drinking fountains to wash your hands and refill your water bottles.

Piazza Bra has claims to be the largest in the country, who knows. The piazza is lined with a number of cafés and restaurants with several notable buildings.
The Verona Arena built 2000 years ago, originally an amphitheater, how hosts operas and popular music performances. You will also notice Verona's town hall, the Palazzo Barbieri, across the piazza.

Be sure to take some panoramic shots when you're there; the view is amazing.
The square is huge and is packed with people, so beware of pickpockets. And don't fall prey by taking a photo with the people dressed up in costumes; they ask for money afterwards and it's usually a rip off.
