“great place to stay”
Reviewed August 19, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Thourougly enjoyed our stay. The owners were very friendly and did all they could to make us welcome. The apartment is very comfortable with a kitchen, two bedrooms and a sitting room. The furniture is generally antique which makes you feel you are in someone's home rather than a hotel atmosphere. Everything is spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely out on the terrace and Olimpia provides all you could possibly want. The walk into Verona old town is about 25 mins ( it was very hot, 35C when we stayed so we had to walk slowly) and is very pleasant. On practical note, if you are getting there by taxi the house number is 15 ( our driver had a little bit of trouble but we got there in the end). Some rudimentary knowledge of Italian would be useful as the owners do not speak any English. However, no problems and we would definitely go back if in Verona. Strongly recommend.

“Perfect”

The appartment is well located in a calm residential area, only a 10mn walk to the old city. A great place to start and end a day of visits. The owners are charming and very attentionate. Breakfast was served on the terrasse. It's really good and so copious you can almost skip lunch. There's also a real, fully equiped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals if you wish. Only good things to say.

We've just returned from Verona and I can honesty say I've never stayed in a better B&B. The apartment really lives up to its billing. It is exactly like the photos. The apartment itself is well furnished and spotlessly clean. The garden is fantastic. There are banana trees, olive trees, palm trees, a lemon bush and numerous shrubs. It is a great place to sit and soak up the sun. There are even sunbeds. The breakfast was amazing! Every day we had fresh fruit, yoghurt, freshly baked rolls, ham, cheese, croissants and best of all Olimpia's home-baked pastries washed down with a delicious cappuccino. We really didn't need to eat again all day.
Best of all were the hosts themselves. Olimpia and Francesco are lovely people and could not have been more helpful, kind and hospitable. They were full of interesting information about Verona and made good recommendations for places to go. They even gave us a lift to the station when we were leaving. B&B owners the world over could learn from them.

“The best place to stay in Verona!”

Ad Olimpiam's location was perfect for us. You are a 10 minute walk from the center of historic Verona and just a few minutes from a more rural setting with beautiful views of the city. You have easy access to the markets at Piazza Isolo as well as a short walk to Castello San Pietro. Make sure you take in the view from the Castello, it is breathtaking at dusk.

The apartment is excellent. The kitchen has everything including an espresso machine which will grind the beans and froth the milk. The apartment is well furnished with plenty of room. The exterior is rich in plants, flowers and trees.

We stayed here for two months, April and May. The owners, Olimpia and Francesco are friendly and very responsive to every request. When I first arrived, I came down with the flu. The symptoms were such that I needed medical attention. Olimpia contacted a doctor who made a house call and treated the illness.

If we were to return to Verona, this would be our first choice in accommodations.

“Best B&B in Verona!”

To call this a B&B is an injustice....it is the ground floor of a very smart townhouse in the centre of Verona and the owners live upstairs. The flat is furnished and decorated to a very high standard as if it were the owners' home, not a B&B. Francesco and Olimpia could not be nicer or more helpful hosts. Anything we wanted to know or do about Verona, they helped us with. And there is only one way to describe Olimpia's lavish breakfasts - legendary..you do not have to eat again for the whole day! As the flat is central, it is within walking distance of all the main attractions. Although we visited in the winter we could see the garden is lovely and a big plus in the summer. Verona itself was a lovely surprise - a very under-rated city....you here so much about Venice, Florence and all the other Italian cities that it hardly gets a mention but it is beautiful and well worth a visit. Would definitely return to Verona and to this charming house! Just one point, the owner's don't speak much English so brush up on your Italian!
