“Wonderful Hotel! Great Value!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2011

We were very pleased with our hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Free bottled water and glass wine glasses a nice added touch. Bathroom was spacious and lovely. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The woman who greeted us upon our arrival was one of the friendliest and most helpful people we had encountered in Italy (although some of the other staff gave off an unapproachable air at times.) We loved the little balcony in our room although it is REALLY NOISY outside and it is tiny. We had to bring out the upholstered chair from our room so we both could sit. However, the balcony door really did an excellent job of blocking the noise. They do have a parking garage which if I recall 11 Euros a day...and it is a SMALL garage so you may want to make other parking arrangements if you have a car that is larger than a peanut. Just a really great value and nice place to stay....would definitely recommend for the budget-conscious traveler who wants a lovely comfortable hotel.

Just spent 14 nights in euorpe and this was the best value hotel by far. We decided to save some money by staying here and we couldnt have been more pleased. Room was on the 5th floor with a balconey! Great view and very quiet. Train station and the center city were both close. The front dest was helpful with dining recommendations and making us a reservation. I would highly recommend this hotel for budget minded travelers and others who are looking for a great find. Train station was a very short taxi ride as well.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights, we were upgraded to the "love room" - which i must say was lovely. Our room was on the top floor and was very spacious. Good for parking11 euros a day and all of Verona's attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast was nice with a good selection. The waiting hall and reception was very modern and i liked the flowers and the candles. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and would love to go back.

Only negitive wasthat the bed or shall i say the too single beds pushed together were too firm and the pillows were like bricks, i felt a little stiff in the monring.

Room Tip: Ask about upgrades, and enjoy the "Love Room".

As a group of 4 couples we stayed this hotel for the weekend. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Position of the hotel is great - 5 mins from the city centre. 10 mins from the train station as we spent one day at Lake Garda.

Rooms were spacious. The weather was very warm so those of us facing the road had the French doors open and found it quite noisy, those at the back the reverse.

Overall I would be very happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the rear of the hotel.

Fabulous hotel, really stylish and great Engllish speaking staff , happy to help us with all our visit needs. rooms were great - clean and huge air con as a bit hit and miss but didn't detract from overall experience. It is located fabulously close to the centre of Verona and is a perfect base for lots of strolling round the city, also within easy reach of railway station where we caught the train to Lake Garda

We loved the Hotel Trieste and would love to have spent longer there. I'm a sucker for fab foyers so they had me from the word "go"! The foyer has some lovely comfy chairs and sofas to lounge around in and really quirky décor and objects! There's a PC to use there also for no extra charge as well as about 10 bikes to borrow, also free of charge. We loved just ambling around the city on those bikes, all very flat! Although the hotel is just a stone's throw from the city and the arena so walking would be just fine too. When we arrived we had a free upgrade and a nice spacious modern room with a balcony and view over the city. The bathroom had a gorgeous monsoon shower. The continental breakfast was amazing and plentiful- cold meats, cheeses, bread, pastries, cereals, yogurt, juices, a range of teas.
Staff were super friendly. On returning from our evening out we ended up being treated to a glass of prosecco with another guest for no reason other than just for us all to have a chat. Things like this really make such a difference. We paid €89 for our double room in July.
We went to see Aida at the opera at the arena which was an amazing experience. It was only about €25 for a ticket in the cheap seats - take a cushion, that stone is VERY hard after a few hours! Get there super early at 7pm for the best of the cheap seats and be prepared for those with ticketed seats to stroll in just before it starts at 9pm! You could buy guides outside for €5 which took you through all the lyrics in Italian with an English translation which greatly helped!

Really lovely hotel just outside the old city walls of Verona. We were "upgraded" to the junior suite on the 5th floor which was in the eaves. In hindsight I wish we hadn't accepted the upgrade. The sloping ceiling drove me mad, constantly hitting my head on it and it was really very dark. The rooms on the lower floors that we peeked in had lovely high ceilings and were light and airy.

Breakfast was a standard Italian spread of cereal, fruit, bread and cheese with a boiled egg if you ask.

Fantastic restaurant recommendations from the staff gave us two of our best, and cheapest, meals in Italy.

Make sure you borrow the free bicycles and ride around town early in the morning, before it gets too hot.

Room Tip: Don't upgrade to the Junior Suite in the eaves.
