“Interesting roman theatre”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

Interesting roman theatre, worth the 1 euro admission, but not much else to see on Monday (museum closed). Gives an idea of the scale of Theatres and (with the Arena) the Romans built.

“100th Anniversary”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

As with our first visit in 2005, a stunning structure.
Spent two nights there to see 'Nabucco' and then Placido Domingo 'Gala Event'.
Amazing performances in an amazing setting.

“worth the numb bum”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

An amazing atmosphere and a great night, but Aida was so looong. Make sure you get a cushion if you are on the hot, stone seats as it's over 4 hours long. Given that it started at 9 pm I confess I nodded off at times (no mean feat since it was so uncomfortable!) but it was very well done. I guess at the opera in Verona is not to be missed, but make sure you are prepared to sit it out!

“Opera festival!”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

The only way this could be better is if the "poor folks" seats had backs on them. Sitting on the stone seats is tough on the back and derriere!

“Hard work but worth it”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

Great to walk amongst the ruins and the view of Verona from the higher points is really lovely. Hard work on a hot day but theme you reach a cool wooded area and can relax and look out across the town and down the tumbling river.
