The Arena was being prepared for an opera concert the day we were there. The plastic seating on top of 1,000 year old marble steps took away the ambience. It would be impressive without this modern intrusion.

“Belissimo Roman Ruins”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

Great views of Verona from the terraces; great artifacts from the roman era. One of the best places to visit in the city.

“Impressive, but quick!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

The theater is impressive and the views from the museum above are outstanding (it is just a few meters below castel San Pietro, so same views). It doesn't take a lot of time to go through the theater and museum so squeeze it in if you have time.

“Ancient culture”

The Roman theatre has lots to explore, wonderful views and is good value. Not as busy (or hot!) as the Arena so good for the kids to wonder and imagine being part of the show in Roman times.

“Sweeping Views of Verona & Fiume Adige”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2012

The Roman Theatre is built into the side of the embankment rising over the River Adige. The theatre is still used today and the Roman Museum is located up a higher level. The museum is modest but has some very interesting pieces and provides sweeping and views across the Adige to historical Verona. Definitely put this one on the radar when in Verona.
