Beautiful church with nice paintings and religious statues. There's also an inferior church in the first floor, which you access by going straight to the end of the church on your right. There's a pass that allows you to see 4 of their churches for $6 euros which is a good deal if you plan to see the different buildings, since the regular admission for one is $2.50 Euros.

I passed it many times everyday when I stayed in Verona. Finally I found the entrance and visited it. It is really a beautiful church especially the lower church. Don't miss it!

While this church is a bit of a walk away, it is definitely worth it. Be sure to go down a couple of flights of stairs to the lower levels where there is a romanesque church that dates from the 700s. Beautiful....many fragments of frescoes, a sense of timelessness pervades.

We came upon this church whilst walking around Verona on a day with record temperatures. Inside the double-decker church are two completely separate churches with stairways between them. We sat for some time in the lower church, soaking up the tranquility and admiring the artistic treasures, and reading the churches' history.
We were delighted to find out the next day that there was a free Bach concert in the church, which gave us a second chance to soak up the ambience.
Well worth a visit.

Make sure you take a visit down stairs to the original church. The artworks inside are great, particularly the faces painted in the ceiling
