Save your feet and your money - stroll along the lovely streets of Verona instead. This is a mere recreation of someone's imagination of what juliet's tomb might have been like. Unless you are really into frescoes which are displayed in the museum you are better off having an ice cream and admiring the beautiful medieval buildings dotted throughout the streets.

It is what you expect for a site for a tomb for a fictional character: perhaps not the most exciting, but lovely nonetheless. It complements the tone of Verona well.
The hosts keep it in good condition and add what they can suitably: a lovely garden/s, art gallery, plaques about Shakespeare and the star cross'd lovers. The staff are also friendly, and the woman at the counter offered to keep my large luggage for me while I walked through.
As for people's comments on the tomb being difficult to find: with a map, you will have no trouble. It is not too far from the centre of town, as Verona is quite small, and myself, I was staying at the B&B Casanova and it was just across the road. The price is also suitable.
Perhaps best saved for Shakespeare / Romeo and Juliet fans, but I do not think it would be a disappointment for others! Perhaps keep in mind not to expect a thrill-seeker attraction.. Happy travelling xx

I normally ignore very negative reviews on Trip Advisor and think that people are being dramatic or expecting too much, but please save your time and money!!

Entrance is 4.50EUR adult, 3EUR reduced. You are guided to the museum first - however this is completely irrelevant to the site. There is nothing related to Shakespeare, Romeo & Juliet, or the original Capulet family. Instead there are a few small rooms with works of art (which are nice, but not what I paid to see). Each room is guarded by a member of staff who follows you around like you are a criminal. However on the positive side, if you like art, there are in-depth written descriptions in each room in English, Italian, German and French.

After 5 minutes in the "museum", I made my way through the small garden to the tomb. There is no information or any points of interest except the tomb itself. The walls of the tomb are littered in ugly graffiti.

It is a shame as a lot more could be done with this site.

Interesting and well kept museum. found a place where I could sit for a bit and admire one of the rooms while sitting in the lee of a large fan.

unless you are a devout Shakespear fan and fully bought into the story, give this a miss. There's little to see, and the tomb smells of something not very nice.
