“Very old and atmospheric with great views”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

This is the oldest bridge in the city linking the old city to the hill with the Roman theatre and archaeological museum, as well as very pretty alleys and garden terraces offering spectacular views over the city. You get a good view of the River Adige and the hills to the north of the city from it.

“Nice Enough, But Nothing Special”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

Not really sure why this is rated so highly on TripAdvisor, although there's nothing wrong with it! Perhaps I've been a bit spoilt with bridges having been to both Florence and Venice in the last week, but it was one of the plainest I've seen. You get a nice view of other things from it and there's a most excellent gelateria near the entrance gate but that's about it. Definitely visit it on a trip round Verona but don't expect anything incredible!

“One of the most picturesque locations on my trip”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Walking near this bridge on both sides plus on the bridge are highly recommended. You will take lots of pics. Also, do tour the ruins on the other side. The climb to the top isn't all that bad.

“Wonderful spot”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

If you visit Verona you cannot lose it. The most beautiful bridge to enter Verona. Take the chance to climb 10 mins up to S.Pietro castle (the stairs are just in front of the bridge, going out of the city), from there there is, for me, the best view on Verona and Ponte Pietra. Don't miss it!!!
