Nice bridge to visit and nice neighbourhood: look around for bars and restaurants and start your way up to Castel San Pietro!

“Best at night!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013

Like the previous reviewer I'd agree to visit the bridge both day and night. In the day you get great panoramic views looking down the river and surrounding area. Just across the bridge is the small ampitheatre and if you take the small hike you get even better views than the bridge. We were lucky enough to see Verona in the snow and it looked amazing!

“Go at day and night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2012

A great place to see the hills and river around Verona. Go during the day and again at night to get the full experience. Make sure to walk to the end of the bridge, go across the street and go up the stairs to the Castle... it is worth the hike up. There are a couple small parks at the top that have great views of Verona.

“Best views of Verona from here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

A relatively short walk from the centre of Verona, crosses the river towards the remains of the roman amphitheatre. Great views of the castle and other historic buildings. Can walk down the river to the castle.

“Ponte Pietra Bridge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

One of the bridges that span this river is the Ponte Pietra bridge, dating back to the 1st century B.C. The bridge provides one of Verona's best views and is a popular spot for travelers to gather, as well as capture postcard-perfect photos of the city. Like on so many other bridges in Italy lovers' locks can be found.
