This hostel was so easy going from not needing to book to luggage storage to no key for dorms. Their system works well.
The rooms are huge! Lockers are provided. The garden is beautiful. There are books and information available. The location is an uphill walk through small streets from the bus stop but still worth it. The breakfast was decent with coffee and tea and bread rolls with spreads. The bathrooms were clean and plentiful. This was such a pleasant stay!

If your looking for a cheap place to sleep for one night, this is it. Dorms for males consist of one large hall packed with bunk beds (50+) with a thin makeshift barrier to halve the hall. This makes for a noisy night if people are up and down, lucky for me there were not many people staying, and those that were appeared like Italian workers (bed early, up early). Showers were of the prison variety, communal stations in the centre of the bathroom without a bit of privacy. If your smart sneak into the female's where they are singular. Females win in this hostel, dorm rooms are 4 bunks and cosy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, although the hostel lacks any atmosphere. The breakfast included was the simplest I've seen - bowl to ladel coffee in, bread and jam.

Hostel was easy to find, catch the bus at the train station (labeled well) and you will be dropped at the bottom of the hill, 5 minute walk with signs posted. Recommend for short stay.

My husband and I stayed at the ostello for 3 nights booking family room accommodation which consisted of a room with a double bunk and a single bed, a kitchen however nil cooking equipment or crockery etc. and bathroom all of which was adequate but very basic. I did not think the blankets looked particularly cleaned so did not use however room was comfortably heated so did not need. Fresh sheets provided on arrival which you make up yourself. There is laundry facility with coin operated machine be sure to have coins available. Breakfast was included which consisted of one bread roll, butter and jam spread and a bowl for your coffee or tea which you ladled into the bowl. The rules are that the rooms are locked from 9am-5pm however we were able to access the family room as we wished as at the rear of the gardens. The staff offered nil assistance and displayed indifference to our enquiries also limited to nil English. Wi-fi did not work staff shrugged which made it difficult for us to make further bookings. However we located ourselves a library in the town which we were able to access wi-fi unfortunately this wasted most of one day of our time spent in the area. Enjoyed Verona however would probably pay a little more to stay elsewhere.

Room Tip: Sorry nil pool that was a typo. For the benefit of having access to your room throughout the day cho...

I got to Verona fairly late, so I can't complain. As other reviewers mentioned before, this is a Christian hostel and there is a 12 AM curfew. I am by no means a partier, but I cut it very close that night. The facility is based in an old mansion surrounded by gardens. Getting up the hill is a trip and the facility has no elevator. The street is not well marked and you could get lost if you don't ask somebody where it is. One thing that I did not like was that there was no lock on the door of the room, so anybody could come in or out.

Again, this is the only game in town, so there was not much choice.

I was at this hostel few months ago and this is one of the worst I have been too. I am not a very picky person but I never seen such rules before like not having access to the rooms between 9 am to 5pm, they closed the gate at midnight , the austere atmosphere in general, the unfriendliness and unprofessionalism of the staff in general especially the older lady who litteraly kicked me out of the hostel at 9h05 without asking politely even. It felt like a teacher punishing a little kid. This is so rude and shameful, treating customers that way! Not mentioning the breakfast was horrible and you have to drink coffee from a small tank disgusting! To me it felt like a prison camp where people have a restricted freedom, it doesn't seem like a real hostel, give yourself a favour and allowed yourself to spend more money in a better place in Verona, it s worth it such a beautiful town!

This place was interesting. I rocked up late afternoon and tourist information suggested this place and there was heaps of space. First up, myself and my brother had an awesome sleep the 2 nights here, the dorms are comfortable and it's quiet and warm in the winter and it's 18€/night. Just the basics for what you need... But these are some things that I wish I knew before coming here!

- its a Christian youth hotel... Which means there is a midnight lock out, not what I am used to! But it also means that it's totally quiet after 12.
- the rooms are locked in the day from 9-5 and are without power so if your the kind who wants an after lunch nap, probably not the place for you
- you can't hire towels! Annoying if you are traveling light

- Girls dorm: mine was a really comfy 8 bed dorm with solid wood bunks. Two bathrooms for the 3 rooms. Great Forrest view...shower room is a communal one but I never had to share as there were only about 2 others staying in the dorm

- boys dorm: my brothers rooms was a hall that slept about 60-80 but is sectioned by thin walls into smaller areas with two bunks. 4 people were staying in there. Again communal showers/toilets... Not great privacy apparently.

- nice hall with fire place made it great for winter.
-breakfast is as per the other reviews, very simple but for me a nice cup of tea will do me nicely.
- staff are hit and miss , had some lovely ones and some less than kind ones.

There doesn't seem to really be many other cheap/hostel options in verona though... Worth considering..honestly I was happy to spend two nights here but probably would try scout a BnB if I came back where I have a bit more freedom.

We arrived late at night and got an 8-bed dorm to ourselves, plastic covers for the matrices, fresh linen, all fine. The bathroom smelled a little, but was otherwise clean, so I assume it's got something to do with the pipes. When we woke up we realised the beautiful setting and amazing villa we stayed in. It is run as a charity to make sure the building can slowly be restored, so the money staying there is well spent.
To comment on some on the things others have criticised:
The bedding was very clean.
The staff was very friendly.
The breakfast is very simply (two buns, butter jam and coffee), but it did the job!

It was a little adventurous getting there on the bus, but the bus driver was more than happy to tell us when to get off. The walk up the hill was well sign-posted, so that was all fine.
I would stay there again, especially since there are next to no other cheap option to stay in Verona. The city is just amazing and well worth seeing!
