We were three friends having dinner on a night we had no opera that is we had time to enjoy. We had had lunch, so we were not too hungry, just wanted to eat something good. This was a delight.

The restaurant has seats by the river but we were lucky not to have those as they were all occupied. We had our dinner inside the beautifully decorated room behind a glass cupboard. We had gazpacho that was just delicious, coniglio was delightful off the bone, we even had a dessert, a bottle of rose wine called ca dei frati, the sum to pay was 124 euros.

For our three years anniversary we decided to go to a special place in Verona to have dinner.
We chose the “menù degustazione” which is a complete menu with different courses. It was an excellent choice!
The quality and the taste was amazing and unique.
The service was excellent too!
I would recommend this beautiful boutique restaurant next to the river to everyone.

We booked this on a whim and a recommendation from our tour guide, Jessica. She told us it was some of the best food in the city and she was right (but thta is what you would expect from a local of course!).

The restaurant is literally located by the Ponte Pietra and we tried to get a table looking out over the River but everything was booked (Tip is to book early to get the view). We sat outside as but at the front although it was still beautiful. The restaurant was busy and our waiter constantly apologised for not giving us the service he thought we deserved - we on the other hand thought that it was just right. We got drinks and the starters were fantastic - marinaded egg and a gnocchi dish I think (I did not have the starter but wife and daughter were more than satisfied!). Second dishes were two red tuna cutlets with a sy marinade which were cooked to perfection for the ladies and I had the turbot which was also cooked perfectly. The dessert was a chocolate mousse cake which came with three spoons and was devoured with not a crumb left on the plate. Coffee was good as well! All in all, a wonderful (if expensive) meal for the three of us coming in at 135Euros (no wine just water). The ambience was fantastic, the staff were not pushy but attentive, the toilets were also good (my wife's mark of class!). Very happy....

Having been to this restaurant for lunches on two previous visits and remembering the delightful albeit cramped terrace overlooking the river, we returned for dinner with family. Seating for four of us was a bit of a squeeze, but worth the effort.
We were given a choice between two sittings and opted for 7.30 to 9.30 having had a very late night at the opera the previous day.
Big mistake!
Seated at the very end of the terrace, the staff rarely came to our table, whether to take an order, to serve us or to give us a bill! The food was good although not outstanding, but the real blow was that buy the time we had finished our main courses we were told that we were too late to have a dessert, and others were waiting for our table. Perhaps we should have made an issue of that since the timing was entirely the fault of the service staff, but by then we had rather "lost the will to live"!
Such a shame!
Recommendation - good for lunch but don't go for dinner, at least not the early sitting.
