“Feel it better than the Colosseum”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

I really loved the Arena. It's very well conserved. You can feel it! Much better than the Colosseum... You can go up and down the huge steps and even go into the center. While we were in there, there was a very talented visitor singing an opera in the center of the Arena. The accustics is impressive. We had goosebumps!

“Elegant Night at the Opera”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

My wife and I attended the opera at the arena in Verona last July. What an amazing experience.
The arena itself is the most well preserved one of it's kind. Even though it was built 2000 years ago it looks like it was made yesterday. We were fortunate to see Aida on a beautifully clear night with a full moon slowly rising in the Eastern sky. The opera is 3-4 hours long, but hey, you're in Italy. You are allowed to bring food and drink in with you. As well make sure you bring a pillow to sit on since the arena was constructed by the Romans with concrete seats. Concrete, of course was their great invention back then. So no need to feel uncomfortable with a little preparation. Though the acoustics are wonderful, try to come a little early and get a seat closer to the stage instead of the very back. This is a lifetime memory for vacationers even if you're not an opera fan. Enjoy!

“Amazing-Well Preserved Attraction”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

The arena in Verona is an amazing attraction in the heart of Verona. It is 2000 years old and is still used to entertain people to this day. They offer operas and the like during the summer season. Recommend you bring a blanket or seat as you will be seated on a 2000 year old stone during the performance.
