We entered the arena since it is one of the most listed attractions in the city. However there is not much to see. The Colosseo of Rome is much more spectacular. However I do not regret going. There is an entrance fee, which is waived if you have the Verona card. I would like to be there for an opera someday, though.

I enjoyed the visit to the arena as it was a smaller, but better preserved, version of the Colosseum. The downside, as stated by other reviewers, is that it lacks any details about the history of the arena. Considering the admission price, you would think that they would give the visitors some details about its history.

I'm not sure if we missed the history lesson in the arena or whether it simply wasn't there... While this is quite impressive (I went to the Colliseum last year and that's better) there is not a lot of information while you are there.

Such a pity there's not a bit more of an exhibition regarding the history of this place, given how old it is and it's varied history, and the fact you have to pay to get in to see it. Well worth a visit when in Verona though, and it's definitely made me want to return to see an opera there.

The Arena is very beautiful, old and different, but we could not get in to see ... I do not know if it is permanent or temporary.
