Loved this hotel brilliant location so you can walk everywhere and only a 20 minute taxi ride from the airport. Being tucked up a side street means there was no noise pollution. Room was lovely and a good size the interior of the reception was beautiful. Breakfast was also pretty good! Would recommend for first time or experienced travellers.

We stayed four nights at Accademia and overall were pleased with the establishment, the personnel and the location (which is excellent, in the center of Verona). We requested a double room with a king bed and were given a large (not quite king) bed with very firm pillows and mattress. The pillows were in fact a little too firm and a brief conversation later with the very nice maid quickly produced two substitute "morbido" pillows. The bathroom was large with a separate toilet and bidet, had a tub with an open half-sheet glass separation and was always spotless with no mold, cracked tiles or rust. There was an attached hairdryer and complimentary toiletries as well as slippers. The bedroom was of good size also, allowing two people easy movement without crowding. While I might agree that some of the furniture may be dated (to the 80s as opposed to antiques), it was in good condition without scratches, mustiness or worn fabric.

The lobby and lounge areas are very spacious (something not often found in many European hotels) with complimentary afternoon Prosecco, juices and assorted snacks. As others have pointed out there is an extensive breakfast in the A.M. with many fresh selections - just not that many hot dishes. Now is a good time to note that the lobby area (as well as the room) were always spotlessly clean with people always polishing, vacuuming, dusting and wiping down all areas. As mentioned, the desk staff also gets top marks for efficiency, professionalism and friendliness: There was not one question posed or one entry/exit to the hotel without eliciting a pleasant demeanor, smile or hello from any of the employees. Even sitting in the lounge just to rest after a long day brought a solicitous bar man out to ask if he could pour us some of the Prosecco.

The only negative I experienced was that the lone elevator broke down after the first day of our stay and was out of service for the remaining three, which meant walking up/down four flights of stairs whenever accessing the room. Still, I would not hesitate to recommend Accademia and I will stay here again when I return to Verona.

We spent two nights in Accademia hotel in Verona. It has a superb location, minutes from the arena and the center. When we were there the whole town was in a festive mood, beautiful Xmas decorations everywhere.
First thing you notice about the hotel is that the staff is very friendly and pleasant; common area of the hotel is very comfortable with leather chairs and sofas. Our room was large enough with a good bath and shower. The breakfast is excellent with a lot of variety and unique timing; 7:30 to 10:30 AM full breakfast is available; from 10:30 to 12 noon breads, pastry, coffee, tea and juices are available, so even if you get up late you still have some breakfast. Also, near the reception is a nicely furnished room near the bar where one can enjoy a glass of prosecco or have coffee from 1:00 to 5:00 PM; courtesy of the hotel. Can't beat that.
Very enjoyable experience.

This is an excellent establishment, if rather dated in decor, but my husband and I loved our stay here. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and this is a splendid affair offering a large selection of fruit, cooked food, cold buffet, home made breads and cakes as well as Prosecco so that one can make Buck's Fizz. I would say this hotel is slightly old-fashioned in the nicest possible way. We liked the fact that quite a lot of Italians stayed here, not just tourists. The staff are well trained and solicitous, the rooms clean and well serviced. We had one complaint which has stopped me giving this attractive establishment an 'excellent' rating. This was that we booked a double room with a bath, and despite this being acknowledged, we were shown to a room with a shower. We were then shown to a small room which we used for one night before being moved to a larger room with a king sized bed and spacious bathroom, which was very comfortable. This was the only negative occurrence in what was otherwise an excellent stay. We were here for a romantic occasion and very much liked the fact that most people at this hotel were mature and not of the baseball cap and shabby jeans generation. We would certainly recommend this hotel to friends, providing the staff get the room requests correct!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in a quiet location.

Stayed 3 nights and loved the location and hotel. Perfect spot for sight seeing then nipping back to the hotel for a rest or to change for dinner. Everything is closer than you think. We walked everywhere. Requested a room in a quiet location and happy with the allocation which faced onto Vicolo Scala and the church bells. We even had our own Juliette balcony. Just delightful.

Downside: the church bells chimed for one minute 2-3 times a day while we were there. Was never too early or late. Didn't bother us. Just added to the charm. Also, restaurant very expensive, no room service and basic snacks only at the American Bar. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. No iron and ironing board either, and laundry service expensive. Could do with using the restaurant as a cafe/Pasticceria during daytime to get some atmosphere and customers in. Would also provide a useful service to guests.

Overall, loved it and would go back.

Room Tip: Rooms at back have own Juliette balcony and a bit quieter.

This hotel has an ideal location. You can walk everywhere as it is just off from the main shopping street that runs between the arena and Juliet's balcony. It's very clean and the staff are very helpful. We hired bikes free of charge from the hotel which was a great way too explore verona. Highly recommend

The hotel is very comfortable and well appointed. We slept very well. The breakfast was fine; nothing too fancy but high quality. The staff attended well and produced whatever variation of coffee we asked for. The staff were helpful, providing directions for our walks about Verona and attending to taxis or whatever. The location is ideal for exploring the city.

Room Tip: Our room required a couple of small stairways after getting off the elevator. It was fine with us wi...
