First, the location is great, right next to the river and the Ponte di Pietra. It's outside of the Traffic Limited Zone, yet still a 5-10 minute walk to the very center of historic downtown, and free parking (very large public lot up the road). Can't beat that combination.

The building is old and charming but the amenities are modern and comfortable. Every detail was managed for comfort and ease, such as heated towel racks, electric blinds, automatic stairway lights, fast WIFI. Everything looks new, and it is spotlessly clean.

And they bring breakfast to your room at the time of your choice. We will be back and we will recommend it to our friends and family.

Not much I can add to all previous comments. It's all true. Luca is a very passionate man who will show you the way to all nice places, restaurants and bars.Verona couldn't wish for a better host. The B&B is clean, quiet and very well located. Breakfast is just perfect with the freshest of pastries and coffee.
Just do it and book it!

We found this great place through a friend and it couldn't have been more perfect. We stayed here two nights in November and Luca was a great host. Right on the Ponte Pietra, it had a great view, right on the river but was so quiet. So much thought has been put into the details, that you aren't wanting for anything. The beds are very comfortable, breakfast is brought to your door and the bathroom is large and completely modern. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in Verona.

My wife & I stayed 3 nights in Sept at Santo Stefano B&B in Verona. It was fantastic - one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed at. Luca went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. It was so convenient to wherever we wanted to visit. We stayed on the ground floor and found it extremely charming. The building itself is some 400 years old. We fell in love with Verona, and if we ever have the privilege of visiting it again, we most definitely will choose to stay at Santo Stefano B&B. Thank you, Luca, for making us feel at home. It truly was delightful! Hope to see you again some day.

I stayed in Santo Stefano last week for three nights with my husband. It was perfect! The standards were above and beyond anything I've seen in a B&B before and the location, as others have said, was simply great. If you fancy a change from a hotel stay when you visit Verona, you should try this. I doubt very much you'll be disappointed! Thank you Luca for a warm welcome. I'd be glad to return!

Lovely place to stay for a trip to Verona. A two minute walk over the bridge gets you into the middle of the city. Nice room with coffee machine and fridge etc. Only problem was trying to find a parking space. Would suggest this as a great place to explore this beautiful city from...

Verona is a lovely city and there can be no better place to stay when visiting than Santo Stefano. It is located in what appears to be the rectory of a beautiful church right at the Ponte Pietro near the ancient Roman Theater. On the river, it is steps from the old town and the shops, cafes and attractions there. Luca welcomed us and made us feel like long time friends. Even with our lack of Italian, we were able to communicate with ease. The room was modern and newly completed, The breakfast was very complete and there were plenty of snacks available as part of the price. The place was immaculate and roomy. We stayed on second floor (which you must remember in Italy is the third floor as the bottom floor is the ground floor) and while there is no lift, we were helped with our luggage. The view from our room was of the river, bridge and old town. From beginning to end, the stay was enjoyable and Luca went way beyond the call to help us with laundry and Wifi.

Room Tip: Both the double and queen rooms face the river - a plus.
